For a good minute I thought I was on ResetEra!

How does this shit work? Are they consumables? Will they be destroyed if i apply them to a weapon
Standard weapons have an "ash of war" slot. Every time you rest at a grace, you can equip and unequip your ashes of war on any weapon. Each ash of war comes with a special attack (the old weapon art in DS3) and an infusion, but you can change the infusion once you acquire certain key items). Nothing gets destroyed or expended, apart from your FP when you press L2.With a good greatshield + the barricade ash of war
Lmao, i have yet to use any ashes.
How does this shit work? Are they consumables? Will they be destroyed if i apply them to a weapon and then remove them? What about the ashes that don't go on weapons, is that something i just pop up into a fight any time i want?
Because that seems kinda cheap as shit.
They're never destroyed! You can put a single ash of war on an infinite amount of equipment, but only on a single piece of equipment at any given time. The one you have is then destroyed but the game
You can Age of Stars anons! You can! You are all good anons! You are!
With armor being so useless in DS3 (and i assume it's useless here also)
Wtf is left stick click on keyboard? :D
BTW, the lack of level design is really starting to wear me down.
Granted i'm obsessed with exploration and finding every possible nook and cranny before moving to the next area but when i'm going to find a legacy dungeon? The open area is SOOOO fucking popamole i'm getting bored.
Bitch all you want about DS2 but the level design, even in the base game was WAY better than this open world shit.
Thank you Reever anon! You are a good strong friend anon!
Best girl. Thanks Miyazaki.
This is NOT anything new however because the same problem was already present in DS1, specifically Artorias and Manus, neither of which can be done with anything other than light roll and no shield,
I am pretty sure I used a shield against artorias because I always use one. I played the remaster of DS1 "recently".
People who say shields are useless in souls games never went high STR builds to run one of the more towering shields.
I assumed everybody here is immortal, this being a divine realm and all.I got a question for you, brainiacs. What's an excuse for respawning enemies in Elden Ring? In Dark Souls it just seem right, whit it's non linear time and shit. In Bloodborne also, with Hunters Dream and shit. I'm not far into the game(just fought Rennala) but I can't see why soldiers and caravans keep doing the same shit all over again. Does it have lore explanation?

well fugggg it's the horse double-jump all over againDid you guys know this?
The night of black knives was an event where the death rune was stolen and used to kill demigods. With the rune of death stolen every being in The Lands Between had become immortal.I got a question for you, brainiacs. What's an excuse for respawning enemies in Elden Ring?
Magic is a lot more powerful than you think, stack int , then use the potion to have no fp consumption. Cast terra magica, charge comet azur, you can oneshot many bosses. Then it's a lot easier during the game and in pvp guided missiles can be a killer.People who say shields are useless in souls games never went high STR builds to run one of the more towering shields. They still work even in DS3, I respecced into many builds deep into NG+ for funzies and you can tank even Gael just fine.
What you cannot do in a souls is run low str and act like your little heater shield can stop a giant hit to your face.
What does suck in modern souls is magic. Still sucks in elden ring when it comes to spells, while magic weapon arts on the other hand are OP

Do this rune of death arc gets further elaborated or stays as this cheap reference to runequest? Also, are there runes of life, wind, earth, etc.?The night of black knives was an event where the death rune was stolen and used to kill demigods. Why don't the bosses respawn then, why can we kill the demigods without the rune of death? It's a mystery.
