Clearly this has nothing to do with Dark Souls, highly original work, do not steal.

I didn't say there are no Dark Souls clones, only that i don't see the industry turning itself upside down to emulate this series.

Notice how most of those clones are either indie games or made by smaller companies. There's some exceptions but i'm not seeing mainstream gayming jumping on the Souls craze, so i don't see how Elden Ring is going to influence anything beside other Souls clones made by smaller companies.

And even if the industry started to emulate this series, where's the negative there? Isn't Fallen Order better for emulating the Souls games instead of being yet another popemaole third person action game?

Seems on par with past From releases.

Would be more interesting to know the numbers by country instead of pitting the whole planet against Japan.

On par? dude, it's beating DS3's long tail and is selling four times more copies than DS3 did in the same sort of timeframe. I wouldn't be surprised if, by the time it had the same amount of years as DS3 does right now, it reached 20 millions.

Dark Souls III was critically and commercially successful, with critics calling it a worthy and fitting conclusion to the series. It was the fastest-selling game in Bandai Namco's history, shipping over three million copies within its first two months and over 10 million by 2020.

This is an unprecedented level of success for From.. and means that we will only see From making open world games from now on.

Remember that the long tail sales includes things like massive discounts, DS3 sold at 90% off at one point. 12m at release prices is just massive.

No i was talking about the ratio of Japan sales versus the world lmao. Sorrieh.

Yeah, japan isn't a big market anyway for this kind of game, they're more into mobile and switch.

Strap Yourselves In Serpent in the Staglands Shadorwun: Hong Kong Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag. Pathfinder: Wrath I'm very into cock and ball torture I helped put crap in Monomyth
You don't even have to find Nepheli in Stormveil - I assume most people won't cut it requires you to take the direct route through the courtyard - just talk to her in the Hold after killing Godrick.

I did talk to her in the hold. She didn't give me shit.

And now she's not in the hold anymore. She said she had to go somewhere.
Yeah I don't think her bathroom break is gonna be too long.

Then maybe its easier to just get a few levels?
Its not like a couple of points in a "wrong" stat will make or break your build.

They're the most out of place enemy in the game for me. The proportions and attacks look like the skeleton was for a gorilla, they decided it didn't fit, and just slapped on a bear skin.
the game has normal bears with normal bear-like proportions and animations, so it's not lazyness on Fromsoft's part.

Runebears probably have different proportions so it would be easier for players to read their attacks.

It's not entirely wrong, there were stupid messages in the previous souls but they helped me discover secret paths and shit plenty of times. DS2 I played a shitton on release day, I didn't feel like punching a bitch while reading messages (and most of the joke messages were concentrated around things like sex jokes on npcs/statues). But elden ring? well, the newfound success of this game with an audience that bought it because there's "open world" really shows how much more the base has degenerated. I stopped reading messages after doing stormveil, I became too tired to see if there's really a hidden whatever somewhere. They really should cut this feature, it doesn't do what it's supposed to do, and will never do it again because it's now a 12 millions hit franchise.

And the best part is that 44% of sales were on PC. PC sales are bigger than PS4 and PS5 combined!
So they need to release bloodborne in pc
We'll get it after Bluepoint remasters it. I'm happy with that hypothetical outcome actually. Elden Ring seems like such a massive technical downgrade that I can't believe PS5 players aren't bringing attention to it. I know it's the cool thing to sperg out over an enemy design or two and call the remake shit but there are deep technical flaws in Bloodborne that won't be resolved by a simple PC port. Bloodborne and all From Software games deserve better.

I know it wouldn't have made a difference for Elden Ring but just look at this. It's like night and day. From Software should've bought or licensed Bluepoint's engine when they had the chance.

I think I've only found helpful messages twice.
The grace killer happened to me too :

In the future, I don't think I'll be playing From's games online. The few times I attempted invasions the lag was horrifying too. Messages are more aggravating than fun or helpful.

I found messages useful mostly because they're the best way to figure out where an NPC will go next in his questline. Usually, when I complete an area I make a mental check and never visit it again; however, since you can explore areas in any order, it's very easy to complete a step in an NPC's questline and never see the rest because he moved to a location you already explored. Thanks to messages, you can usually guess if there's a spot where you are supposed to find an NPC in the future, because it will be surrounded by various "love ahead" or something like that. Without messages, I wouldn't have been able to complete Sellen's, Corhyn's, Alexander's, Yura's, Hyetta's, and Millicent's quests.

Those giant bears (and all huge enemies in general) really make you appreciate how strong bleed is in this game.
