>Added NPC Jar-Bairn.
> Added new quest phases for the following NPCs: Diallos/ Nepheli Loux/ Kenneth Haight/ Gatekeeper Gostoc.

This is so fucking insulting. It's all early game NPCs botched, most of us have finished the game, they should have delayed by one more month if they were going to add the cut content back anyway.

> Fixed a bug that sometimes prevented the player from obtaining item after boss battle.

Now I'm wondering if I missed anything.

> Fixed a bug that causes arcane to scale incorrectly for some weapons.

Rivers of blood is going to be a-m-a-z-i-n-g.

>Increased the drop rate of Smithing Stone for some enemies.
> Added Smithing Stone to some early game shop line up.

See, even From knows this was a problem. But how could this not be caught before the game release again? what sort of retards do they employ as game testers?

>Increased shield’s effectiveness

???
I've seen a vid of someone tanking Malenia with greatshield. Shields seem fine to me.

> Increased the damage for all offensive cracked pot items.

Still not going to make anyone farm items to craft this shit.

> Increased HP healing for Torrent when using the following items: Rowa Raisin/ Sweet Raisin/ Frozen Raisin

This lineup of item is just bloat. I never felt the need to use anything other than my flasks to resurrect Torrent.

> Reduced FP consumption and increased the damage of the following sorceries: Glintstone Cometshard/ Comet/ Night Comet
>Increased the damage of the following sorceries: Gravity Well/ Collapsing Stars/ Crystal Barrage
>Decreased FP consumption of the following sorceries: Star Shower/ Rock Blaster/ Gavel of Haima/ Founding Rain of Stars/ Stars of Ruin/Greatblade Phalanx/Magic Downpour/ Loretta’s Greatbow/ Loretta’s Mastery/ Carian Greatsword/ Carian Piercer/ Shard Spiral

Wow, maybe people might make wizards that spam more than pebble.

This is so fucking insulting. It's all early game NPCs botched, those of us who completely no-lifed the game and played 50+ hours a week have finished the game in the less than 3 weeks since it released, they should have delayed by one more month if they were going to add the cut content back anyway.

Decreased the damage of spirit summoned when using the item Mimic Tear Ash and changed the spirit’s behavior pattern.

It's probably badly needed, but it was kind of cool to have an OP clone of yourself in game.

If they didn't reduce the mimic health, it's still the best summon by far, taking aggro away from you is invaluable. Also, if they weren't thorough enough.. I have suspicions the reduced damage might not affect bleed application so if you run a bleed build and clone yourself..

Downloaded 1.5gb update. Stuck at 23% installing for like 15 minutes.

Restarted steam, update is now 15gb. Okay, guess I probably corrupted the install by quitting steam.

Slow internet. Took advantage by eating for the first time in 28 hours.

Took a shower (ugh.) Lit some scented candles.

Contemplated pursuing social interaction with human people - didn't. Ordered Fia body pillow.

Tried masturbating for a little while, but didn't finish since I couldn't ogle Renalla's bare feet. Tried writing more Greyoll rape raps but lacked the inspiration I usually get from inhaling the fumes of my own gamer-sweat.

Finally the wait is over and I somehow survived. "CORRUPTED UPDATE FILES." Now downloading 10gb.

Now I truly feel like a Tarnished, spurned by grace.

Elden Ring, o Elden Ring...

Reused bosses have some purpose, for example due to the nature of open world I missed Sofia River location until I was quite over leveled and I deleted the deer boss, but later I found his stronger version and I could experience this fight that otherwise I would miss.

Has anyone else seen that thing in the poison castle with many limbs and whatnot?
Revenant, the hardest enemy in the game. Worst moment of my Elden Ring playthrough was when I stepped through a fog gate and found a boss version

I thought the first field version of the enemy that spawns at some ruins in Liurnia was tough, but was genuinely surprised when I one-shotted the boss version (near the giant blacksmith) with a healing incantation. I read a message before the fog gate that suggested using one, and after getting my ass kicked trying to melee it, I just decided to give it a try. It works on the smaller wraith mobs too.

I'm a bit surprised about the patch adding map markers for NPCs. I understand why they added them, but I was under the impression that locating NPCs wasn't one of the most frequent complaints.
I guess they must've received a large number of complaints on various larger online platforms and forums?

I'm also curious about the smithing stones getting added to some early game shops. It'll probably help with the initial scarcity of upgrade mats, but are they still just as expensive as before?

Hot damn, the crazy motherfuckers at From actually did it!

The game runs very measurably worse than before! My average frames dropped by more than 5 and down to 39, so now it's truly unplayable, even with (nerfed) mimic and (nerfed) stomp!

Seriously? the souls philosophy severely clashes with the humongous size of the game map.

I'm well aware of that, but how often have you seen people complain about missing NPCs compared to something like complaints about upgrade materials, copypaste enemies, duo bosses etc.? Those have been far more abundant.

They cost 200 per level, so 200 for smith stone 1 and 400 for smith stone 2. It lets you push a weapon to +6 as soon as you get access to Roundtable Hold if you're so inclined (and have raided the stones from the early game locations in Limgrave and south, not including Stormveil Castle).

It's a nice change, I think they might've added it because some people were concerned about having enough map markers and I was using them to put on NPCs, so now I've been able to remove those.

Less so, but stuff like upgrade material affects the core gameplay throughout so it's understandable.
These, among with the NPC stuff, are almost all complaints about the open world design as a whole, so in a way they're interlinked complaints because the one cause of all the complaints is the stupid choice to go open world.

Goddamn, update just keeps installing....

Anyway, welcome changes all in all. Moonveil and Blasphemous nerf isn't a thing why tho?
Also I hoped for: "Damage for weapon skills decreased across the board while spell/incant damage increased significantly". Alas, maybe next time.
Also where do I find Jar-Jar?

Looks like Gaykeeper Gostoc is necessary for the Nepheli Loux storyline. Jar-chan appeared for me, but I can't talk about anything new with Kenny or Lou-Lou, and yes I gave her the stormhawk ashes already.

NG+ here I fucking go I guess. Will probably do as our local Golden Order fundamentalist Lyric Suite suggested and shelf all of my upgraded weapons/ashes and mats thereof, as well as dedicate one of the talisman slots to Daedica's woe. Together with my house rule re: upgrading I am hoping for a decent challenge.

Also where do I find Jar-Jar?

In faraway Jarburg, known to the enlightened and learned few as the burg of Jars.

Makes you wonder what the hell happened for the finished second halves of the NPC quests to not be included in the launch version of the game.

I wont touch this again until the inevitable scholar of the first cardinal sin edition. By then everything should be patched, finished and mistranslated properly.
