BTW, earlier in the last cave in Altus before i wrapped the place up i found a spectre! Invisible sonuva...

Too bad i actually read the text on the torch that can uncover invisible enemies so he got what he deserved.

To be honest if i had known before hand i might have tried it without the torch. When i walked in and saw (or didn't see) what i was dealing with i whipped it out then killed the annoying scrub (i hate this boss in the first place). In hindsight it might have been an interesting challenge.

I also have an hunch this was what the torch was made for specifically, which is a bit disappointing as i was expecting some kind of invisible regular enemy and the invisible torch was like the one made for the dogs (which rarely seems to work btw. I still get gang raped by them with or without it).

As a lorefag I've wondered what it meant that the demigods "started to fall" when Godwyn was killed (as stated in the story trailer).

My initial assumption (during my 1st playthrough) was that they had existed as divinities and fell to the earth, essentially becoming mortal (like in the Time of Troubles in the Forgotten Realms setting).

Now I figure it just means that they started falling from Grace, due to crappy actions prior to (and during) the Shattering.
  • Marika, Ranni, and Rykard's conspiracy was revealed. Marika was imprisoned, while Ranni & Rykard avoided that fate by shedding their bodies.
  • Miquella & Malena rebelled against the Erdtree, and wanted to establish a new order based on the Haligtree.
  • Radahn initially remained true (and likely wanted to restore the Golden Order, being a fanboy of Radagon & Godfrey), but was infested by woman-rot and started eating his comrades.
  • Godrick turned to dragon communion & grafting in a desperate attempt to equal the power of other demigods (likely motivated by wanting vengeance against Malenia, who shamed him).
  • Mohg wanted to establish a Pedo Dynasty.
I think Morgott was the only demigod who remained true to the Golden Order, and desperated tried to keep the decline at bay.

One thing I found interesting is that when Morgott's body disintegrates, he becomes Grace that directs Godfrey towards us:

One thing I missed: Who exactly is supposed to control Grace? Marika, the Greater Will, or the Two Fingers?

I think Marika. Seem to recall that she's the one who removed Grace from Godfrey, once he had served his purpose (defeating all her enemies). That also suits how Grace can guide people (like us & Godfrey) into conflict, as conflict seems to be exactly what Marika wants (according to Gideon).

Just some thoughts & observations, let me know if you've got different interpretations.

The boss fight against the invisible Black Knife Assassin occurs in a shallow pool of water, in which splashes appear, so you can track its movements to some extent. Also turns out that the water amplifies the area of Frozen Lighting Spear, which I cast repeatedly to kill the boss. +M

Come on, LS. You should know the game by now. If you faced an enemy as a boss more than once, you should assume you will face 3 of them at the same time as regular enemies sooner or later. Rookie mistake on your part to think this one will be any different.

Indeed. My mistake.

I'm just thankful there was never more than 1 Ulcerating Sperg Spirit at a time. They've at least got some decency.

On one hand, using those uncanny stone cat statues as COMMON FUCKING ENEMIES in a dungeon is annoying.

On the other hand, putting them near flamethrowers (icethrowers?) is really therapeutic.

Ugh, took out Rykard. Such an annoying boss with his bullshit camera angles.

Had to switch to their spear, since standing a pool of lava to fight him up close is just retarded, but even with the spear, I had to switch to dodging for first phase because the serpent would always push me into the wall, and then use the bs camera stuff to hit me through the shield blocks. Bitch was putting my old man reflexes to the test. And then switched to marathon running from his bullshit fire skeleton heads.

Rykard invited me to join his family, not knowing I was already his big sister's consort and balls-deep into her puppet.

Still a classy gesture though!

Oh fucking hell....I evidently completely missed Rogier's questline.

How the fuck was I supposed to know that
Joining Team Ranni was going to make him go into a lethal coma
?!

He tells you do it i don't think there's any other outcome to his line.

This is Memezaki we are talking about obviously everybody is going to end badly.

In fact, i'm waiting for something tragic to happen to Boc. I just know it's coming.

Oh, I get that. When I was reading about it I saw that
Rogier was fucked either way
, but evidently I missed on that ever important lore.

Took down Mohg the Omen in the sewers:

Wasn't too bad once I got his patterns down, I confused him with Mohg the Blood Lord which is one of the toughest bosses in the game, alas not yet.

I don't understand how you souls vets keep having trouble with boss fights I had no trouble with. Rykard was like a DMC boss fight that you can't lose.

didn't think of this before. i just thought the grace was controlled by the greater will to wrestle back control over the lands between after the demigods rebelled and split into different factions (not to mention subtle involvement of other outer gods such as formless mother (mogh's pedo dynasty) or frenzied flame (kingcomrade outer god) ). maybe marika is playing 5D chess, that they bet on the tarnished to pick not to restore back the golden order. but that seems too much of a loose cannon and uncertain for a true 5D chess so who knows. the two fingers and finger reader crones probably works for the greater will since they are just antenna for GW communication on the planet.

Brah that dumb bitch Anastasia. I thought it was a player and I was very confused since I had it on offline. OK now I need to kill her.
