Sony already owns Bloodborne. It's the excuse people have to buy a Play Station. Once that's gone, there's no reason to do that.

Elden Ring 2 currently not in production...
Good. They don't need to rely on sequels and familiar names to be successful. Their own studio name is enough
Even though Bloodborne and Sekiro are practically begging for them? Honestly, I wish 'Zaki would get over his pathological aversion to sequels.

I don't even know what that is but it still made me depressed.
Imagine a pinball machine but with less skill involved, closer to just straight gambling.

Y'know, Fromsoft game-themed pinball machines actually wouldn't be a terrible idea... If they ever end up needing a side-hustle, that path is available to them.

Too long and repetitive, would've been fun to replay if From cut the length and upped the difficulty + brought back full powerstancing from DS2, not the diet soda version of it.

I haven't completed this one. I was pretty burnt out on ER after having my fill and when I tried to go back for the DLC, I found that "new area but basically more of the same except not as good" wasn't enough to cut it for me. I need another year or two or massive memory loss before I can go back, I think.

This is even more reasonable when you consider that the best thing the DLC has to offer is an impressive set of new weapons and ashes of war to use in the base game...

This is why I recommend playing Elden Ring with overhaul mods like Convergence. The mod just ignores vanilla progression and lets you directly warp to whichever area of the game right from the start so if you have a particular build in mind or just want to experiment you do not have to slog through 50+ hours of vanilla game to test out the beast claws or get a black suit of armor.

If I want to try the "new game" experience with stuff from the DLC, I usually just start a new game and add everything I want with Cheat Engine. I get that it's quite literally cheating, but it's the quickest way to try out weird weapons from the DLC in the base game.

This is actually one of the only ways I can wrap my mind around cheating and why people do it. From games will have some basic ass long sword that looks cool but otherwise is statted more or less like some starter weapon but you can't get it until beating the second last boss. :|

They should let you create an expansion ready character when starting a new game.

Would also serve as easy mode for all those dirty casuals who got filtered by the base game.

And in regards to Elden Ring burnout: Its normal for a game with this length. Elden Ring has as much content as Dark Souls 1-3. Just take a break and come back to it.

brought back full powerstancing from DS2, not the diet soda version of it.
DS2 powerstancing only gave you a single neutral l1 string and l2 attack (no special running, jumping or rolling attacks), required x1.5 stats to even powerstance the weapons and a continuous hold of the button to activate it. People have massive nostalgia goggles for it, when it was by far the worst paired weapon system in the entire franchise. In ER i just find two longswords and pair them from level 1.

The only thing DS2 did right is giving left-hand weapon full moveset, but it's a separate thing entirely.

If you're on PC, just use cheat engine for it. But From are seriously ass backwards when it comes to quality of life and unwillingness to innovate in any way.

Surely you jest!! Elden Ring is nothing but quality-of-life, to its own detriment. Once you've hit almost every Grace, the game just becomes a fun fantasy safari from one boss fight to the next, with a few (okay, a lot) of NPC fetch quests in-between.

You hardly even see the open world, nor make any real decisions with irreversible consequences. With the Bell Bearing system and boss soul duping, the only truly missable collectibles are the gestures, for crying out loud (and no trophy for getting them all, this time).

The only times Miyazaki works up the nerve to take fast travel away from the player is in the minor dungeons, and even then, you can just die or use the usual emergency warp item with minimal consequences. No secondary currencies lile Humanity or Insight to worry about. Too hard for the younger generation of gamer brains, I suppose!

I am tempted to play this with a full randomizer mod. Sounds like something From should have implemented themselves.

Honestly, this is one of the few From games I could see actually working with that. Depending, some stuff might be a bit rough like if you got bad luck with what spawned in the first areas before you can hit Altus Plateau, etc. but it wouldn't be quite the clusterfuck most From games would be from it.

I was watching this video and it looked pretty cool, some funny moments like entering Godrick's arena and having to fight Malenia hahah. IIRC the mod scales the enemies so you wont face an end level boss with his original stats when all you have is a +2 dagger.

This is the mod

Another funny moment
