If you want to play emulators on a mobile device, grab a handheld gaming Android player. GPD and JXD make some decent ones. I've had a few which were pretty damn nice for the price. There are plenty out there which are much more powerful than PSP.

I had one of these which was able to easily run PS1, N64 and Dreamcast Android emulators without lag.

Here are some good choices too, just find one with decent analog sticks: http://www.aliexpress.com/wholesale?catId=0&initiative_id=SB_20150621235056&SearchText=jxd

Huh, now there's a market I have no experience with.

Can any of them run Sega Saturn games?

rpcs3.
It's making pretty good progress and a few indie games are already playable.
But for anything more extravagant, you'd at best get an intro video, and perhaps a glitchy main menu if you're lucky.

Sorry that I didn't respond. I haven't been on the net much in the last couple of days.

Well, running intros is already good progress, Xenia indeed seems to have more future though. I hope rpcs3 makes it because there's basically no xbox360 games that I wanna play.

If you already have the psp, $0<any price, and basically all you miss out on is N64 and NDS.

You also get that lovely Sony d-pad.

Android has vastly superior emulators that are updated regularly. That's what you're mainly missing out on plus processor juice.

Do we have decent SS emulators?

I think there's an Android port of Yabause but it's likely useless.

SSF is pretty nice but it's PC only. Wish it was updated more often. Still won't run Die Hard Trilogy and some other games. Save states would be nice too.

This is SNES and Sega Genesis we're talking about. They've basically been solved and just dealing with the 1% edge cases for the last decade now.

Then with PSP/PS1 well those are done natively on the PSP, so better emulators is p much irrelevant.

I imagine Xenia's a lot simpler as the xbox shares a common DirectX layer with windows, which mean things like Shaders can be used unmodified (or with minor alterations at worst).

Lost Odyssey is the singular reason to own or play a 360. I've also heard mixed things about Infinite Undiscovery but I've never played it myself.

Don't forget Tales of Vesperia. Also, I had forgotten about those two games you mentioned, maybe there are a couple of games I wanna play in the xbox 360.

I was going for console exclusives. For Tales of Vesperia, if RPCS3 ever becomes a fully working emulator you could play the PS3 version of it which has a ton of added content.

For anybody wondering about modern gen consoles emulation ,the situation is looking good.
Playstation 3 :
Rpcs3 is the only functioning emulator being developed but the developers have discovered that the emulator may have crippling issues and will continue developing it but who knows will they abandon it for other projects(or do a rewrite) or try to fix it.

But there does seem to be progress especially with dx 12 coming along:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G9bD7Zomwk4
Xbox 360:
Xenia is coming along pretty nicely and seems to be working for some games perfectly(keep in mind these are mostly 2d games)
And it seems to be pretty well optimized some people can run some 2d games full speed with only 3.2 ghz quad.(scott pilgrim beat up game is actually playable without any issues it seems and so is crazy taxi)
But keep in mind the emulator only works only on windows 8 and probably 10 only.
In about 2-3 years we might be actually playing dragon dogma if this pace continues.
Most recent xenia video :https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zNAaBLIVLx8
3ds:
Citra probably wins the quickest developing emulator award.Tons of games are playable but the speed is a problem since most game play videos are speed up.And no sound is a problem.Probably going to be the first of the next gen emulators released with actually playable 3d games, probably in about 2 years time. But you actually need decrypted roms to actually play it so i have no idea will you be able to use pirated roms.

RPCS3 might be the only remotely functional PS3 emulator, but there's also another project in the works called Nucleus:
https://github.com/AlexAltea/nucleus

Did you guys know there's another PS2 emulator being worked on too? I tried it out but it doesn't appear to be in a usable state yet:
http://purei.org/

I also came across this new N64 emulator still in early stages, something to keep an eye out for along with Cen64:
http://bryanperris.github.io/Soft64-Bryan/

I wouldn't be surprised if any/all of these end up abandoned but who knows.

It's a pity that that key hack was disclosed so soon, it might have got the vita with the psp and the ps3

Then again, it can probably be argued that Sony only rushed the vita and ps4 because of the key disclosure. Rentier worms.

Btw you need an IPS monitor to turn it sideways. TN panels are only viewable in one orientation.
