Wait, so they just put games for free and don't play developers for the copies?

There must be some kind of fee they pay though, i mean, a lot of those games were either more than a year old or more than a few months old, and a lot of sales are done after a game releases, but still, you'd think they would give more to the developers that agree to have their games become free for a while.

There has to be some kind of lump sum payment for these promotions.

We're supposed to get free healthcare and education. Why not games, too?

Everything's free! Nothing costs anything ever again! :happytrollboy:

(except muggings, divorce, rent, and the Corona Virus special edition).

Tell me... have you considered running for President of the United States?

I'm poor, don't have dead prostitutes in the trunk of my car, live in fly-over country, and am not part of any secret societies. I clearly lack experience and 'networking skills', so no.

But I'd make a great gaming industry czar. ;)

Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
A few exclusive games crawling back soon

Next ones should be Roller Coaster Tycoon something something in March, Borderlands 3 and World War Z in April. If we assume Ubisoft still has a brain then The Division 2 and Anno 1800 would be re-releasing in mid April.

what about the paranoia game pulled from the store? i like the conspiracy theory about it being removed by mr epic himself because it was trending but had a horrible review score thus ruining the "we're the best people's republic ever" image they're trying to build.

I played Operencia on game pass, so I can continue saying fuck Epic while also recommending Operencia as a really enjoyable game. Though since I've played it I probably won't buy it myself now until it's bundled or dirt cheap, and I'd lean more toward bundled since I'm in no rush. Definitely good enough I'd like a copy for keeps but nothing I'll feel like replaying any time soon.

I don't think not buying a game like Operencia has anything to do with principles or being a "Gaben slut" for an average gamer. It's just that whatever window of opportunity these games had (assuming they ever had any) is long gone now.

Operencia is ok for baby's first blobber, but if you already know about genre it's just meh. I'll better replay something old or play another japanese wizardry.

Yeah, because we haven't replayed them 10 times already. The game is good because it is something new. Also if you had played a single jap blobber, you had played them all,it is a bunch of repetitive dungeon crawlers.

And that's exactly what i said from the start -

too short, too shallow.
Did you even played it? It is a good game,it is a good blobber too. It is no wonder that it is a dead genre. People constantly whine that we don't get new blobbers, then a new one comes and everyone is "muh i didn't played it,watched a video on youtube and looked boring". I find it a lot better than grimrock,MMX and most of the new ones. At least it had different level design and some interesting battles, tho if a bit easy. Also the story and folklore part were pretty good in my opinion.

I got Operencia for like $5 during one of Epic's $10 coupon sales. You'd have to be a real hardcore Gaben slut to pass that up and pay $20 a year later.

Couldn't you have it for like $1 or $5 on gamepass with lots of other games including a few other Epic 'exclusives'? You'd have to be a real hardcore Sweeney slut to pass that up and pay $5 for a single game.
