These aren't journalists, they're scientists who have completed their PHDs.

They're just analysing results though what's pathetic about that?

The article is just bunch of obvious and simple conclusions (PEOPLE WHO LIKE FREEDOM LIKE GAMES WITH FREEDOM) packaged with fancy phrasing (IMMERSIVE CHALLENGE) to appear smarter then it actually is.

I bet those people have majored in social studies and this kind of shit is the only thing they are capable of doing. Seeing how just few pages ago I said that success and shittyness of Bethesda games is due lack of competition I must be a genius, seeing how I didnt need to do 200000 surveys to come to that conclusion.

Shit guys, this man is capable of producing results ON THE SPOT, using some magical shit like deduction or something.

I definitely think the journals should hire you, can't be more expensive than paying all those pesky scientists.

We live in time and age where logic thinking and common sense are considered super powers, so don't act surprised.

The fact that the people who made the graph have PhDs doesn't stop it from being testicle-shatteringly retarded. The article almost reads like a parody piece, with an extra dose of vague buzzwords being added to each new incarnation of the graph, each one creating a new layer of total meaninglessness.

Finished a Railroad playthrough. Really got tedious to the point where I simply stopped looting things. I don't know how people keep playing until they get to character levels 60+ as nothing is even remotely close to being challenging.

That's why they did the settlement thingy. If you get too bored playing regular Beth Fallout, why don't you just play The Sims: Mad Max Edition(tm)?

For my part: because it's the shittiest Sim clone I've ever played. But you knew that. Last Sims I played was 2 probably a decade ago. I wouldn't call it that good a game as I like more goals than what it has, but atleast its interface and camera aren't utter shit when building.

Moo?
My initial Sniper/crafter playthrough got abandoned because I realized I was spending all my time with eyes glued to the ground looking for scrap. Then carefully building up settlements, only for attacks to completely bypass my defenses or for the settlement itself to bug itself into oblivion. Fuck that. I'll try the mechanic again in a year or two after the GotY edition is released.

settlements are actually Purgatory for all the damned souls who died in the wasteland. shuffle around like zombies, lamenting past regrets.

It all makes sense that Garvey keeps making you help settlements. He's living the same days over and over. He doesn't know he died back in Quincy.

The funny part is the main quest lines are so bad I'd rather they just focus more on the gameplay/combat/loot aspects and fill the world with radiant quests. The settlements themselves are pointless. Sure you can rig them up to produce extra food/water/caps but you won't need those things. If you put a ton of defense assets in them (machine gun turrets are pretty easy to produce) then they'll rarely come under attack. Occasionally, though, you will get a radiant quest to help one out (clear out [radiant] location). Those seem independent of any actual defense values.

Yep, settlements, the most boring, useless stuff to do. I would rather have a base with management, upgradeable assets so I could unlock new abilities, perks and equipment for companions, cooridinated attacks which are not radiant bullshit but instead certain mini-quest lines of who attacks, why and defense mission. And lastly, improving such place should yield rare crafting materials, unique equipment and allow for upgrading your weapons and armors without need for necessary perks. Make this stuff take in-game time and you have a nice reason to give people mincraft side-activity. But this is Bethesda, 95% percent of Fo4 quests involve killing stuff and economy or well-thought features are not their strong points. Ideas I have provided here shouldn't cost that much to design and implement. But again, almost every major thing in this game needs to be redesigned.

Todd thinking of himself as the Napoleon of vidya games? And they just announced 3 new games, I wonder at which part of Napoleons history we are currently at, are the greatest conquers yet before Todd or is the downfall next.

Getting overambitious, sounds like he's about to do the "Invade Russia" part

MODEULAR LEVEL DESIGN? OMG OMG! Is that why every factory area has the same look? Is that why a brewery can pass for a smelter or a fish plant or a power plant or whatever it seems?

Or do you guys just suck absolute ass in the imagination department?

Rather likely since Bethesda likes making DLCs based on mods.
