Never thought I'd see the day when 32GB of RAM was the 'recommended' amount for a video game. I can't even call the AAA industry "unsustainable", every new release is the equivalent of Crysis and not in a good way.
a big part of this is that new windows releases' default configurations gobble up a ton of memory. there's also a negative incentive for MS to reduce the memory footprint, as windows running poorly on existing hardware incentivizes people to buy new machines.

it's a consumption loop with shitty user experience as a pleasant side effect. Indiana Jones and The Square Peg in the Round Hole will require 48 gb ram, 20 vram.

I think this is running on ID TECH so hopefully it's not a stutter fest like UE5 games. Game might be kind of fun only because it's fucking Indiana Jones.

So the optimization is amazing... despite the stutters.
The setpieces are amazing he says, while showing exactly which movie scenes they copy pasted.
You can't fail platforming, it's all automatic.
3 major locations.
Combat is braindead easy and most enemies die in 1-3 punches, that was to be expected.
Stronk woman character can't actually defeat even a single dude in a fight.
Most of the game is about stealth, with Indy crouch-walking and sneaking behind people.
10 hours long, twice if you optional stuff.
Gmanshills admits at the end that it doesn't hold a candle to any of the Uncharted games.
Draw your own conclusions.

Looks like a pass. A nonsensical story, the monotonous gameplay loop and having Gina berate you every two steps doesn't make up for the good rest.
Dude, you're playing Veilguard. This is the perfect game for you.

Keep making up that shit and you're off to ignore.
You made a big fuss all about not wanting to get spoilered in the Veilguard thread stating that you would be gone on release date, and yet you still havent played the game yet (and are actively posting there)? Who is exactly making up what now? If your Intention was to pretend being a current Bioware fan to farm retard points, then congrats: it worked, RETARD.

Why is this a thing in every adventure game now? Fucking hell. Makes platforming just a pointless exercise. Not even the casuals of casuals appreciate this.
God of War devs were shown using DSP's gameplay to illustrate why the game isn't intuitive enough, try to imagine the kind of brainless dudes they have testing these things...

Enough with the lies. I said I needed time to make up my mind (aka proper reviews, not the Youtuber attack hounds), so I stayed clear of the forums. Eventually decided not to buy the game based on more reasonable feedback.

The quips every time you throw a punch and 4 hours of unstoppable cutscenes aren't doing a good job convincing me.

The game is surprisingly well optimized, judging by the requirements I thought I'd be getting 60 fps at most but I'm getting 130-144 at 4K with max settings and DLSS/framegen on. That's enough overhead to have good fps even when they patch in ray tracing.

First person platforming should not exist - it's never not garbage - but if it must exist I am completely fine making it a cutscene instead of a legit gameplay pass/fail.
