(imagine, for example, a game on the same scale as KCD but set in 11th century Eastern Roman Empire, with realistic depictions of Constantinople or Thessaloniki - any publishers taking notes?)

Woke has taken a huge blow in recent months, with Veilguard and Concord being two key scalps for the righteous. It's been an utter joy to see the tide finally turning.

The last thing I want to see now is them regain ground by making a none-woke game with pretty realistic and balanced gay & black elements included in a super-minor way seem majorly woke, and thus devaluing any woke claim which is put forth in future.

It'd be like claiming the original Star Wars was gay because Anthony Daniels plays a minor role for comic relief.

Bro, it's a 1/10 game. Not only is it bad on its own, but it ruins previous games.

That's the problem with game reviewers, they have to treat everything with kid gloves because they don't want to upset people too much. You can't be a real critic if you are constantly pulling your punches. Strangely enough, the same is true for creatives themselves.
