This is the thread where we post pictures of our murderhobo activities.

Meanwhile, from watching youtuber reviews:
- Face animations of random NPCs are as stiff as in KCD
- It's as easy to get ahead of the curve in skills and the economy as in KCD
- The game can be played in Czech with English subtitles

It seems like the most recommendable playing style will be to go through the main story without much diversions, picking and choosing sidequests sparingly to avoid breaking the game balance.

This game is incline, a true RPG experience.

I have a question gents. How long do you actually play newly released games? Do you rush it?
I want to start the game asap but
I'll loose interest in most games halfway in and uninstall them, those few games that I really like will take me like 3 to 4 months to finish. I have to look at every nook and cranny, experience all the side quests etc
How can I improve upon my autistic tendencies?

I'm the same. But as I wrote above:

I don't rush them, but I have autistic completionist tendencies as well.
Another real problem is restartitis - I must actively force myself to stick to one complete playthrough before creating alts, which shouldn't be a problem here with a set protag.
As for KC:D, which made it easy for the player to exploit game mechanics and I assume it will be similar here - I will play a chivalrous Henry. No underhanded tactics, no thievery etc....and most certainly no firearms.

Combat still looks like trash.
Wish they would've added a dismemberment mechanic, nothing too over the top or insanely gory, just think of classic Fallout aimed shots.

Early in the first act, you come across a Jewish merchant named Mordecai Haim. As well as being a vendor, you can engage him in the same kind of ‘hey, how’s it going? Anything going on in the area?’ small talk as you can with most NPCs. His response to such an inquiry? ‘Pay me’. Jesus Christ.
Huh. You know what, maybe Vavra is based after all. Especially since apparently
the quest Musa is involved in is about some criminal investigation, during which you can finger him. Wouldn't it be funny if he actually did the crime?

He is actually innocent, but you can indeed convict him to death with no real evidence.
Someone on the Steam forums let that slip today as well. Yet another woke insertion.

Add storyline highlighting a sterotype of the token character, disprove sterotype through narrative. Fucking hell, it's worse than I thought.
Hans 100% confirmed to be the romantic interest as well :negative:
It's woke that you can convict him without evidence?

this is the biggest missing feature from the sequel that looks to have improved almost everything, must be the only or one of the few mechanics bethesda with gamebyro is still better than WH :P
I know I'm not revealing any secret, but dismemberment, hacking off limbs at least, isn't as easy IRL as in Gamebryo.

Look, until you prove this with a prostitute and a claymore, I'm going to assume you're internet katana guy doing an ass pull.

Look up any padded armor test in youtube. People have played around enough with cutting pork to produce all the evidence you need.

You would need a weapon that's both heavy and sharp, and a target that's relatively secured, and even then, some padded armor would reduce the force of the cut by a lot, likely enough to prevent chopping off, say, an arm at the elbow.

Just google that shit, children. I have work :)

someone on the interwebz begs to differ among others
Limb removals and beheadings were not uncommon in historical combat involving swords, particularly during the medieval and early modern periods. The prevalence of such injuries depended on various factors, including the type of combat, the weapons used, and the training of the fighters.

Factors Influencing Limb Removals and Beheadings

  1. Weapon Design and Use: Swords, especially those designed for cutting (like the broadsword or katana), could cause severe injuries, including decapitation and limb severance. The effectiveness of these weapons was also influenced by their length, weight, and sharpness.
  2. Combat Style: In hand-to-hand combat, techniques were often aimed at disabling opponents quickly. Strikes to limbs could incapacitate a foe, while beheadings were often a means of ensuring a kill.
  3. Armor: The type of armor worn could affect injury patterns. Heavily armored combatants might suffer more from blunt force injuries, while less armored foes were more susceptible to cuts and amputations.
  4. Historical Context: In some cultures and periods, beheading was a common method of execution and was often seen in battles as a form of showing dominance or ensuring death.
  5. Training and Skill: Trained swordsmen were more likely to deliver fatal blows, including beheadings or limb removals, compared to untrained fighters.
Historical Evidence

  • Medieval Europe: Accounts from this period often describe battles where beheadings were prevalent, especially in the context of knights and duels.
  • Japan: Samurai culture emphasized the art of the sword (kenjutsu), where techniques often aimed to sever limbs or decapitate an opponent.
  • Art and Literature: Many historical texts and artworks depict scenes of combat with dramatic injuries, which reflect the realities of warfare at the time.
Conclusion

While exact statistics on limb removals and beheadings in combat are difficult to ascertain due to varying historical records, it is clear that such injuries were significant aspects of sword combat throughout history, particularly in contexts where lethal force was necessary.
and it isn't even like Henry's fighting with fully kitted out soldiers all the time

Not saying you're wrong but they also frequently depict spears being shoved up each others asses. These pictures were mostly made by bookish monks who never actually saw a battlefield.

More than 80 hours of gameplay later, after completing 101 quests, lockpicking 240 locks, defeating 288 opponents, making 904 screenshots and eating 2 pears , I can confidently write that I just played my personal game of the current decade

And about the controversy
Just before the premiere, there were heated discussions on the Internet about the alleged historical language of the game or the promotion of LGBTQ threads. Well, I haven’t met anything like that. I would say that it is rather the opposite and the game is not afraid to take up controversial topics. The homosexual thread is only gently emphasized by the character of Istvan Toth, which is not any novelty in the context of the “one”. I have not encountered anything like this in the case of Henry – if in fact at some point such a motive arises, then it is necessary to strive very strongly for this in numerous dialogue elections. There is no shortage of women in the clearing neglige and romance with new heroes.

The figure of a black medic turns out to be very interesting and I perceived it rather as a reference to the classics of cinema from the 80s and 90s, i.e. Nasir in Robin from Sherwood or Morgan Freeman Azeem in the Prince of Thieves. This does not change the fact that such visits of people from distant countries simply historically happened, especially in such a large metropolis as Kuttenberg, where Czechs, Germans, Hungarians, Jews and different guests live side by side.

In the game we will find threads about inflicting torture, similar to the one from GTA5, suggestions that stolen horses can be sold in the Roma camp, and with us the hottest topic may be the issue of showing our compatriots in the game – and I’m not talking about the already known Komarze. But it must be admitted that whatever the Czechs do there, it generally corresponds to historical truth – writing something more would be a spoiler.
