Since I first played Age of Empires 2, I've been convinced that a game is at its best when it's educational. Though it can still be good without being educational of course.
I'm still halfway through KCD2 and I can't issue a final opinion, but KCD1 was more of a tour of medieval life than KCD2. KCD1 took you through village life, city life, monastery, military action, siege, and it gave you a taste of "the Middle Ages". For someone in their teens who is getting his first taste of this period through this game, KCD1 it's the perfect tour guide. Whereas KCD2 is different. Someone said that this game is more character-centered than presenting the period, and I agree.
