Eh. At worst/best they'll just lose the PC crowd, dump their PC porting work and become full-time console/MMO developers.

could this be that "general public" will finally say "NO" to bioware's crap?

i sense a disturbance in the force
:smug:
Unfortunately no. Just visit the Bio forums, people there suck up everything Bioware does. It is very annoying. Everytime I criticise something, a dozen people jumps at my neck, and say that Bioware did the right thing.

yeah, but that's only bioware hardcore turds

the rest of the slasher/button smasher crowd might not like it despite the marketing, they know their shitty genre better than bioware probably

This same sort of bullshit occured pre DA1 release where people from all over claimed that DA was destined to fail.. we know the 'twist' in that story.

People claim that BIO story 'twists' are easily foreseeable but none of them as foreseeable as this.

DA2 will sell a bunch, most will like it, Codex majority will hate it, and would calimed to have to have stolen it. Butm, theys ecretely enjoyed it, and will promptly pick up the next BIO game no matter what.

Repeat repeatedly just like the last ten years.

The codex actually had a fairly positive impression of DA1 before it released. THe only major criticism was over the advertising (ARE YOU MOTHERFUCKIN' READY... FOR THE NEW SHIT!?!?!?!) and even that was dismissed on the grounds that it was a misrepresentation of the actual game. Heck, even a week or so after release DA1 was drawing mixed opinions *shrugs* guess the atmosphere is completely different this time around. R00fles!

wUT A FUKKIN' LIE.... Unless you amend that that 'fairly positive impression for the Codex about a BIO game'.

Nope, sorry, don't bullshit. It's embarassing,.

This is one of the worst games I've ever had the chance to play. It easily tops ArcaniA.

Also, guys, you can't judge a game based on the demo. You need to buy it (and all the DLCs), finish it 3 times (but 7 times is optimal) and then talk about it.

Come on guys, cancel your DA2 preorder ( You don't really want Bioware to continue in this direction, do you? ), and preorder The Witcher2, this one will be a real RPG, made by people who like what they do and probably like to play their games.

fucking pollacks

:x

fuckers tell me what to buy

deus ex3, mass effect3, skyrim, dungeon siege 3, fable 3, da2, torchlight, diablo 3...
twicher 2 is definitely not on the top of my preorder list

ffs even trine 2 is higher :smug:

Bioware doesn't fix, bioware removes.
Shitty inventory? Remove!
Shitty "tactical' view? Remove!
Shitty gameplay in all of our games? Remove gameplay!

Now they just have to figure out how to remove the writing.

Evolution complete.

:salute:

What are you talking about, writing shitty cinematics is all Bioware does now'a'days.

Looks boring and ugly, true to the spirit of DA:O.

Though the part where the chick stabs the monster in the dick for a hundred times and then stabs the smaller monsters some more in the same silly fashion cracked me up.

That was the most awful piece of shit I've ever played.

Horrible models, textures, animations, facial expressions, etc. Oh look Avaline stabbed her husband to put him out of his misery.. she stabbed him directly through his full plate armor... and now.. the knife is gone! And his armor is in perfect condition!

Blood spatter is stupid as shit.

Overly simplified dialogue.(They were never good at that, anyway)

Too many cut scenes.

Tries too hard to force an emotional response from the player.

Horrible directing/acting.

Combat... what the hell is that shit? click 1 2 1 2 1 2 THREE! THREE! THREE!

Mammoth tits and ass on the females. It's just one more thing that breaks immersion. Whenever Isabela is on the screen I can't stop thinking about how pathetic it is that they made her a slutty pornstar with giant tits and booty. Nude patch ahoy! LOL HOW DU WE GET PPL TO LIK GAYM? I KNOWS BOOBYSSS HU HUH HUUUU!!

My biggest complaints in DAO were the lame motivational speech scenes that utterly failed to evoke an emotional response, some performance issues, and the darkspawn. I mean why couldn't it just be a barbarian horde or something? Why does it have to be fucking zombie creatures that make no sense whatsoever?

Looks like we've got a whole new bag of issues this time around.

Can you get even more repetetive?

All the guy playing it does is spamming 3 fire spells, in exactly the same order, the very same fashion.

And he wins! :retarded:

And those spell-casting animations... :retarded:

I like a lot of the new shit but I cant even bring myself to download that. The lack of friendly fire just makes spell casting as much of a spam as the hand to hand shit. Then they got the nerve to include "another wave!" in the fucking banter. No thank you Bioware. Maybe ME 3. This Dragon Age shit is just a waste of paint. Why does the boss have to have 80 thousand hp?

Bioware is the new Bethesda.

No. Thats an insult to Baldur's Gate. At least in my opinion. Besides Beth just has better fans. Scrolls fans hammer the shit out of Beth for stuff like Oblivion's level scaling. They care about gameplay.

I posted a thread on scaling on the DA forums and take a look
http://social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic ... /5493581/1

They are diplomatic when it comes to level scaling while scrolls fans poll hard against it and are passionate. No excuses no diplomacy. Just get rid of it.

I just wanted to say I'm not downloading this. In fact, I have two machines and none of them is downloading it right now. That's how edgy I am.

I'm also not downloading it either of my two laptops. Go Team Edgy!
Neither am I!

But only because I intend to torrent it at some stage anyway and doubt I could stomach to play through the demo parts twice...

So I took this screen grab

and got a inspired. No, I didn't photoshop the upside down chick in there, she was actually doing that, she went through the floor a few times if I remember right. Also, the animations started doing this weird strobe light effect thing where everyone was jerkily moving in sync...

I honestly don't understand DA1 bashing here. After NWN it was one of the best RPG titles we had in the last few years, imho. I can accept that the main story was cliched and full of holes, but the depth of character on the companions, and the moral decisions the game raised (whether it handled the consequences well is onther matter) were really good. Also, what is it with all the 'filler combat' criticism here? Are we playing the same game? On the PC on hard, every fight was near impossible without a masterplan and lots of pausing. The enemies were meticulously set up, with traps and surprises that made each fight unique. There were no 'trash mobs' in my version.

Does that make me a full homo...?

Anyway, on topic - DA2 will sell, for proof, see the gamestop and bio forums, where in most cases that sale has been guaranteed by the size of Isabella's boobs. And the transition of ME1 to ME2. The majority loved it, despitite the ditching of any last vestiges of RPG elements. And then there are those who think that even a watered down version of Origins is still worth $60, while waiting for Skyrim, Dungeon Siege 3, Witcher 2.

The thing is Bioware fan is convinced that that the fact the game has stats, stores, and levels and stuff excuses bargain bin action adventure combat.
