Does anyone happen to know if there's maybe a mod that allows you to phase in and out of umbral at will? Without needing any statue thingy or whatever?
I always thought that mechanic was nice but execution needed more work, why not be able to do it at will? Seems like you should be able to from story perspective.

Any chance that they will change the character creation?

Is a minority in the most insane cities of Anglosphere that want this "body type". I want different races and different attributes for males/females like Daggerfall/Morrowind. And body types should be Ectomorph, Mesomorph or Endomorph.

That's because you have extremely low standards for entertainment, some of the worst taste I've seen next to ADL

This is literally nothing. Well, I guess it's nice that they are signalling a lack of mental illness, but at the end of the day that's all this is from developers, an indication of other factors in their studio, it's just a text label. And if you have to do a poll to decide whether you are insane, uhhh...

Its not much but its a start. He already posted against DEI and people pointed his last game had type A/B so he presumably created the poll as evidence most people dislike that. Its one thing to say people dislike something, its another to have hard proof aprox. 90% of people are against it, even if the proof is just a twitter poll.

They are at least testing the waters before jumping in, which is a reasonable stance for a business. Now they at least have hard proof to present to anyone in charge that people don't like "Body type" label, instead of somebody's gut feeling, and maybe it will cause other studios to stop bother with it as well. This is a refreshing change from what we had in the past and hopefully the sign of more to come.

A twitter poll is nothing but an empty gesture towards people. Bear in mind that their worry is body type a or b style bullshit while the game is still known for being optimized like shit. But I guess people who are desperate for validation will take anything they can get, even if it comes in the form of a mediocre souls clone.

I will not rest until I am able to pick Body Type C! If all of us aren't free to pick more than two body types, then none of us are free!

I don't think any of them are unaware of what the average pleb consumer opinion is. The whole point of moves like body type a/b is to both declare your own virtue as above the hoi polloi, and also to try and nudge said population in your ideological direction.

What were you doing for the past 20 years? It may be a gesture, but in these days it is not an empty one. This is good, because if we can go back to developers making games, instead of taking a political stance, then this also means more focus on technical aspects of games (such as gameplay or optimalization) as well.

Even if developers are aware of the average person's opinion, it is good to have hard data on hand for investors and head honchos so they stop fretting over possible PR impact (which is a chief concern for publishers, for example). And the less weight is put on the ideological aspect, the better off we will be.

you have extremely low standards for entertainment,

Nope. I didn't liked TW3, didn't liked DOS1/2. Didn't liked a lot of games that a lot of people like. Also gave 6/10 to Baizuos Gate 3. The most common score here was 8/10. LotF has its problems, like some bosses that stay in other side of the screen dancing ballet forever and ever which is annoying. But I still prefer it over DS3 gimmicky bosses.

They are at least testing the waters before jumping in, which is a reasonable stance for a business.

YES!!!

ACtivists like to pretend that is a "chud minority" that don't like it. If 90% on Twister, plus a form that they make in google forms, plus their impression talking to players say otherwise, why listen to activists? If they revert it in LoTF, I'm sure that is not only due a twister poll. There are python algorithms to scrap the internet and see the player reaction to this "body type A/B".

The unique place who likes this shit is RETARD ERA and RETARD ERA needs to ban everyone who disagrees with them. They have a thread about it >> https://www.resetera.com/threads/wc...ent-publisher-of-lords-of-the-fallen.1079157/

You joke, but one game that has great body type implementation is SWTOR. Your body type is not your gender. Is more akin to your "bone structure"

These devs have tried to make souls clones twice, and they've failed both times. I'm not holding my breath for a good game from them, so far they've shown to be incapable of making something that's not virtually shovelware.

I disagree. Lords of the Fallen (2013) was made by CI Games, who happens to be the publisher of Lords of the Fallen (2023) (and Hexworks is "Part of CI Games"). They also made some other titles in the past. These guys are learning (if only by repetition). Guys who made Dark Souls didn't get popular when they made their first Souls game either. If they keep trying, chances are something decent may come out of it.

FROM was already a very well known developer when DS1 came out. And the OG LOTF ranks very justly as probably one of the worst big souls clones ever made, probably alongside Steelrising. I'd like to know the status of the current LOTR and it's terrible optimization issues, though. That gives more value to a game than an empty gesture made by desperate developers.

Still hatefuck the fact that they called their second soulslike by the exact same title as the first one. How hard was it to come up with a different "X of the Fallen" so people could tell their games apart? It's a dumb title anyway, doesn't refer to anything specific in-game afaik.
