Skull & Bones is going to sink the company.

That game’s development has to be the most hilarious fuck up in the history of gaming. All they had to do, was do the pirate stuff from Black Flag. Seems simple. It is simple. They somehow took a easy layup, tripped over their own feet, and fell on their face. They’ve spent close to a decade trying to figure out something they already figured out and somehow along the way they lost features. It’s like they’re so stupid they heard people say they wanted Black Flag without the Assassin’s Creed stuff and they thought that meant people just wanted the ship battles.

I mean you have to sympathies with the project lead. Poor sod probably never played a videogame in his life and now he has to develop a pirate video game without assassins.

You said EZ at the end of that match? That's 6 months detention you filthy animal!
This is what happens when you let gaymers and SJW trash take over an entire hobby.
Gone are the days of socially awkward nerds making and playing great games and putting their abilities and all creative energies in making those games. Now it has been replaced with soulless industry grinding.
Now every fucking game has to be tailor made for every thin skinned faggot and tranny who suddenly discovered modern gaming.

A Glimmer of Hope

On a surprising note though, almost all of the employee’s Insider Gaming spoke to had said that the reason behind the delays and cancellations was due to games needing more polish.

One employee said, “We certainly aren’t running short of games, they are just taking forever”. The employee revealed that they’ve been working on an unannounced live-service game since 2019, but the game isn’t forecasted to release until 2025/2026 at the earliest. Other games, which are also yet to be announced, have already been given 2027 or longer release dates.

So moving forward, at least for the current time being, Ubisoft is likely to be known for delaying its games – But fingers crossed it means its games are more polished.

Assassin’s Creed Codename Red

Will take players to feudal Japan.

The game will feature two playable characters.
The characters in question are modelled after Japanese samurai and shinobi.
The report suggests that the short trailer unveiled for the title by Ubisoft is the female samurai character.
The shinobi character, on the other hand, is reportedly an African refugee, who “learns the way of the Creed.”
:hmmm:

This is absolutely hilarious. Holy fuck lmao.
Oh so you want a game in feudal Japan? Ok your only choices are a samurai woman or a negro. You will play as them and you will like it!
Its so ridiculous its almost funny. Lets do some social stealth gameplay playing a black man in a country where no one even remotely looks like him.

Edit: Also I dont care about Assassins Creed but if I see one more mouthbreather bringing fucking Yasuke as a black samurai to justify this I am going to flip it. Dude was just a weapon bearer Oda kept around as a pet who lost a couple of battles and was shiped to God knows where but people act like he was a full fledged samurai and one of the top people in the country. Ffs dude was pretty much a servant kept around probably because his skin color scared other people.

What does Ubisoft even have to sell besides their unwieldly mega ips (AssCreed, Far Cry, Watch Dogs, and ability to stick the late Tom Clancy's name on things he had absolutely nothing to do with)? All I can think of is Rayman, Beyond Good and Evil, Might & Magic, and distribution rights to the 3D Prince of Persia games (the IP is still creator owned, and this kind of thing may not be transferable anyways). All a lookup adds is Track Mania, Trials, Myst (!), and The Settlers. Might & Magic and Rayman are only thing that anyone would actually make something new with instead of just collect checks of digital distribution of back catalog.

Good ending: the authorities of the irl location you featured in your game name you cultural ambassadors of it because they feel they made them proud + made them world famous
Bad ending: this

Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
Female samurai was expected and isn't even that ahistorical, plenty of them exist in the historical record.

1920px-Subjugation_of_Kagoshima_in_Sasshu_%28Satsuma%29.jpg

I would have guessed they'd do the same thing as the Greek and Viking games: same basic character, just different sex.

But a nigger? In Japan? And they make him the stealth character?

I guess it's the same principle as Ork Stealthboys in Warhammer 40k:
Purple is the stealthy color because... have you ever seen a purple orc??

They probably took inspiration from the only African in Japan at the time, that everyone likes to use nowadays, just like they used the English 'samurai' William Adams back in the 80's/90's.

I wonder if they'll stick to the historical ending for the African guy.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yasuke

When Yasuke was presented to Akechi, the warlord allegedly said that the black man was an animal as well as not Japanese and should thus not be killed, but taken to the Christian church in Kyoto.
