I will probably give it a try in the future, when it's decently discounted. I can't shake off the impression of it being a Persona rip-off with garish visuals. This might be one of the rare cases when I find art style and design in a JRPG off-putting. And I still have SMT/Persona to play, so they will take the precedence.

Did you sleep at the beginnig of the game? Your first arrival at Royal Capital Grand Trad is woke localizer sandbox. There is a combo of aburd amount of SJW key words spitted at you in first 15 minutes there, that it's not surprising you could think it's some kind of japanese Dustborn. Otherwise it's fine, thank God it's the only place where you experience it, but it takes a few hours to shake that feeling off. The game feels like typical nu Atlus production, no more woke then P5, with more light hearted/try not to offend enyone writing(at least for now, 50 h into the game).

Well, I haven't played Persona, so can't compare it well. Though I've heard its rather easy.
IMO the gameplay is much tighter, more interesting and challenging (on Hard) then SMTVV.

Though I guess if you don't like its style, then you don't.

Well, I haven't played Persona, so can't compare it well. Though I've heard its rather easy.

Persona4&5 are just as easy as SMTV. The last JRPG I played that actually required tactical combat was Dragon Age XI with the challenges activated.

metaphors is not that great of a game while its nice that fitgirl compressed it down to its ps2 graphics origins. ps2 graphics and same 30-40 year old gameplay with a dumb 12 year japanese school children story made for adults. Drova foreskin is more fresh yes its the same 30 year old gameplay from gothic but more different then gothic games then metaphor is from shin megami games and its great for the skin as a night cream.

Also this game is really addicting. Its basically like heroes journey wandering sword without all the retarded grindy gameplay elements. The gameplay is fast pace and its a solid combat fag game.
