QUITALITY????!!! Seriously???

You’re right, a “Quitality” is beyond the pale for the series with “Friendship” and “Babality” moves...it’s also got a guy that pops up in the lower corner of the screen saying “Toasty” when you hit a good uppercut. Something happening when your opponent rage quits (or drops out) is truly the most nutty thing the series as done.

It’s not even new either. Although what happens seems to visually be more like the old Hara-Kiri finishers.

The name is dumb, but I like that it actually shows the other guy committing suicide rather than fight you anymore. Seems appropriate.

Official bios:

LIU KANG
Having won control of the Hourglass, Liu Kang restarted history. He neutralized the threats and dangers that had come before, crafting a New Era in which all beings would have the opportunity to find peace.

But that peace is now threatened by an enemy that Liu Kang could never have anticipated. It will take all of his wisdom and experience to save not only Earthrealm, but all of reality.

SUB-ZERO
As the Lin Kuei's Grandmaster, Sub-Zero leads his ancient warrior clan in the defense of Earthrealm from external threats. For centuries, it has been their solemn task.

But Earthrealm hasn’t been threatened in generations, and Sub-Zero sees no point in limiting his clan to preparing for dangers that may never come. Under his leadership, the Lin Kuei will come out of the shadows and fight for its place as one of Earthrealm’s great nations.

SCORPION
Like his cherished father, Scorpion is dedicated to the Lin Kuei and its defense of Earthrealm. When his father died, Scorpion was bereft. Though he took pride in knowing that his brother, Sub-Zero, would succeed their father as the Lin Kuei's Grandmaster.

But Sub-Zero's unprecedented moves to cast off the Lin Kuei's traditional duties have frozen Scorpion’s enthusiasm. He fears that he may one day have to battle his brother for control of the Lin Kuei's legacy.

KITANA
Kitana has one purpose in life: to aid and protect her older sister, Mileena, as she prepares to rule Outworld one day.

The steady-handed Kitana ignores the calls of those who advocate that she should replace her impulsive sister as heir. Instead, Kitana will defend the realm by fighting to make Mileena the best Empress possible. She will also fight to hide the dark secret that could end her sister's reign before it begins.

JOHNNY CAGE
Like many stars before him, Johnny became addicted to his fame. He came to measure his self-worth by his fans' adoration and their praise of him on social media.

But with his star now fading, Johnny is fighting an uphill battle to remain relevant. He joins Liu Kang’s Earthrealm champions hoping that it will provide his career and his fame a desperately needed boost.

KENSHI TAKAHASHI
Once one of ancient Japan's most honored families, the Takahashis were decimated in battle. They lost everything, including the emblem of their power: the revered sword, Sento. Those who survived joined the Bakuto, a predecessor of the Yakuza, for its protection.

Five centuries later, Kenshi is raised on the stories of his ancient family's exploits. Detesting his corrupt Yakuza life, he pines to free the Takahashis from the Yakuza's grasp and restore their name.

But for his family to follow him, Kenshi must first fight to prove that he can lead. His first battle is to find and retrieve Sento.

KUNG LAO
Born and raised in the village of Fengjian, Kung Lao has spent his life toiling in the fields. It has been an honorable life, if not a glorious one.

Kung Lao’s greatest fear is that his life will amount to nothing. He prays fervently that he will be called to do something bigger.

His prayers are answered when he is asked to join the champions of Earthrealm. As a warrior fighting for its honor, Kung Lao knows that his victories will be long remembered.

MILEENA
Born mere seconds ahead of her twin sister, Mileena is the rightful heir to Outworld’s throne. But even so, there are those who distrust Mileena’s impulsiveness. They whisper that Kitana, with her steadier hand, should replace Mileena as heir to the throne.

As Mileena fights for legitimacy, she hides a horrible secret: she is infected with the dreaded and lethal Tarkat disease. Were her affliction found out, Mileena would be forced into battle to save her throne.

RAIDEN
In the village of Fengjian, Raiden was known for his kindness and his charity. He was happy to spend his days tending to the fields, as well as to his friends and family.

So when he is asked to leave Fengjian and become one of Earthrealm’s champions, Raiden hesitates. But he soon realizes that to best serve his village, he must join them.

As threats to Earthrealm mount, Raiden must mature into the great warrior that Liu Kang knows he can be.

So:
- Cage is basically a 1995 movie Cage - a fading star who tries to restore popularity.
- based on Liu's bio Onaga could be final boss, technically Liu Kang never met him in previous timelines and with the power of Kamidogu he was the only character able to face One Being.

I would think a “enemy that Liu Kang could never have anticipated” would be something like a powerful enemy that had previously been good in the other realities as opposed to some previous enemy.

Onaga doesn’t sound like an enemy Liu Kang couldn’t have anticipated, he’s more like the exact opposite of that: An enemy he’d be expecting. The enemy is probably something like the ancient Kung Lao, who in this new reality wasn’t killed by Goro because Shang Tsung never took control over the Shaolin Tournament. Could also be some other previous good guy, or some new character tied into Shaolin, but the Great Kung Lao seems like a safe bet given they’re a known character that’s been around since the first game.

If it had be no Onaga nor Havik but someone good turn evil, there are chances for Kitana and Sonya for being main boss.

If character is both in main and kameo roster then its versions would be radically different, there are also hints in characters intro - Liu warns Kenshi to not trust Black Dragon so new-Sonya could be a leader who pulls the strings from the shadows.

Then, there is a story leak in which 'Titan' Kitana kills evil Kombat Kids from alternate universe.

Your theory about corrupted Great Kung Lao makes sense as well.

The real question is how will they look like.
I guess Ashrah is modest enough but li mei? In literally every one of her costumes, even the armored one, she is at the very least showing enough cleavage to make your average journo gasp and look away in terror.

Unless they going for mkX Li mei that literally no one liked.

But typing up Li mei brings up no shortage of oc redesigns for her that whilst not motivated by coomerism still has her more skimpily then what current mk devs are comfortable with.

Actually it's great outfit, finally she doesn't look like Tekken character.
Those MKX NPC models where great, yet that made only one playable character and it was Bo Rai Cho. Frost and Fujin landed in MK11 but Li Mei and Sareena weren't given a chance. The former is pretty much confirmed and there are strong chances for Sareena as well, either as kameo or playable (in Kombat Pack 2).

BTW Rain's bio includes iformation about General Shao so leaks were true- he is no Khan here but just a general in Outworld's army like he was in original timeline before he poisoned Onaga and took the throne.

Let me correct myself then: that literally no one liked who didn't already hate her og design.
In your words, you only think the outfit is great because it looks nothing like how she used to look, swapping air open flowery outfits for something stiffy and completely replacing color with drabness. The behind the scenes concept art for her design in mka even explicitly stated how important color was to this character and how her designs were meant to reflect that she was an acrobatic character with a lot of swaying motions in her fighting style which is why her costumes were "breezy".

Granted li mei had only been in 3 games prior to mkX so more wiggle room to mess with her design but as someone who was ok with li mei's og design, hopefully you can understand where i'm coming from when i state i feel that if you are going to bring Li mei back, she should at least look a bit like how she used to. The other mk X npc models were not changed anywhere near as blatantly if memory served, rain still looked like rain, sareena looked like sareena, etc...

I understand but for me there's no need for her to wear 'acrobatic' clothes to hold her identity, they may reflects her fighting style but MKX refers to her origin instead - she's just peasant girl from small village that happened to know martial arts. She we'll propably have all of costumes anyway, including bikini armor from Deception.

Out of other news - there's another leak from year ago that included many confirmed info (Scorpion and Sub-Zero as brothers, Tarkatan is now a virus etc.), according to it Havik is not that one form original timelime but one of estabilished MK characters will turn into him later in the story.... Since Kuai Liang is now Scorpion then an obvious candidate for Cleric of Chaos is Hanzo Hasashi - Liu Kang could not prevent his tragedy and once he's gone mad, he became Havik/Joker/Green Goblin.

Alternatively, Bi-Han can be killed and reborn as Havik who originally was just a Noob's alt costume in Deception.

And let's guess who is speaking those lines:

1:30 - 'We we'll achive greatness' - Ermac!
1:37 - 'The Lin Kuei, we have been expecting you' - Geras
