Because Kai and Jarek have a lot of fans and deserve to be brought back. Ofc.

Kenshi again and still NO Havik?

That MK1 Sonya is her best 3D model since Shaoling Monks.

BTW I looks barely better than MK11, it's still UE3.

I fear i might be over the MK series, trailers are doing absolutely nothing for me.

Maybe because it just feels like i’m looking at MK 11 season 2, and mk 11 has the honor of being one of the few mk games i don’t own.

Semi curious about the return of kira but that’s about it.

The animations actually look better here...much better than SF 6, which looks weird.

Still, I can't really handle the gore anymore... It seems too gratuitous and sadistic now. I imagine it will get to a point where not only will they chop someone's head off, but then they will pull their eyeballs out and swing them around while skipping in circles.

I'm mostly talking about the stages. The character designs look a bit generic.

Last good looking (on the art side) MK was UMK3, tbh.

This game is the best most of these characters have looked design wise since the first two games. The only real weak spot with the character designs so far in the less jacked armored Goro they showed off. When the other Kameo characters are basically just remakes of how they looked when they first appeared, the Goro change seems odd.

These are also the best designed backgrounds the series has had since the original three games.

Looks way too flashy, completely lacking the 90s low budget action movie aesthetic that made Mortal Kombat awesome.
Also, the chicks are move covered than a burqa wearing virgin in Afghanistan.

What the fuck are you even talking about. This is probably the most aligned the series has been with its original movie roots since the original 2D games. There’s characters in this one that look like they stepped out of the old original games, and they pared back the new designs to something more in line with the originals (and the first movie) as opposed to the busyness of the character designs in later games.

Big Trouble in Little China is also like one of the most big budget movies to come out in 1986.

It looks too contemporary and way too bright. It doesn't have those recognizable classic Mortal Kombat otherworldly backgrounds and grim characters. Some random luxurious Miami villa as a MK stage? Wtf?
