And then you stop to loot something and the sword clips through your chest. You'll need healing then.Who needs heals when you've got a 7' long sword strapped to your back that's so sharp it easily penetrates six inches into the ground every time you stop to look at something?
I'll give a rundown of what's new in the cosmetic side of things tomorrow, as usual.
My response grew too lengthy and non-specific to this game to post here so I made a new thread.I am so tired of "next generation" MMO's trying to break a mold that works and replace it with one that doesn't. But that's neither here nor there.
Functionally, picking my powers to max out instead of picking which powers I can use differs in only one way: changing them will be more difficult since I will not want to use powers that aren't maxed out. Clearly this is a cosmetic change for stupid people who also like to open their mouths. Some stuff they added that I will might maybe possibly test tomorrow:
- In-game tailor is in.
- Each race and class got additional quests of its own now.
- You now choose and upgrade your powers, system apparently has lots in common with Champions (upgraded up to Rank 3, etc), only first five levels have auto-purchases now.
Here's the devblog about power progression, in case you'd like to know more:

160 dollars...holy fuck. Yeah I can live without being a Hero of the North.
Edit: But it's a 700 dollar value!
Most of the value comes from the cross-character benefits like additional inventory, respec token, mounts, companions and the like, and the character slots.160 dollars...holy fuck. Yeah I can live without being a Hero of the North.

Robe of Useless Items
Drops a piece of useless junk on the ground when activated. (one per character)
Wonder how much they calculated that to be worth? $50 maybe?
Also, using the tailor will be 200 Zen a pop, which is tantamount to highway robbery I say!
100 Z = 1 USD, minimum purchase is 500 Zen. There was a lot of confusion way back when they switched from Cryptic Points to Zen, since Eurofags and lots of others were used to the way CP was pegged to 100 = 1 EUR, so the entire catalogue was changed and some people thought they were being ripped off because they failed at math. Also, using the tailor will be 200 Zen a pop, which is tantamount to highway robbery I say!
How much is Zen worth in USD?
Well, it's a p. lame cash sink all things considered. STO and CO have pretty cool cash-shops, seeing how the primary stuff is account-wide purchases with infinite claiming. Still, it remains to be seen how this one develops, though at least your clothing changing is free (so you just pay to get a facelift, which is why I rerolled Ashur and made him forever handsome).Gotta have those cash sinks, though.
Last weekend I didn't work on the wizard though, I checked out the Great Weapon Fighter and additions to character creation. That arcane power on the hand thing was in there last weekend too.
