Back in the early days of RPGHQ, Rusty tried to emulate the RPG Codex approach of having a news subforum, but no one really wanted to do it. Eventually came to the conclusion that we didn't really need one or a front page. News about games gets posted in the games subforum. Reviews get posted in a review subforum where they're approved if the quality is up to snuff. The front page is a relic of a by-gone age.
Nobody wanted to become a regular newsposter or nobody wanted to post any news, given a possibility?
People don't mind making posts about games that catch their interest. No one wanted to be a designated "post news about all the RPGs in this subforum" poster.
