I like how the game can be customized: creating your own parts vs using NPCs, solid vs floating UI, hiding the health/stamina bar above the characters, etc. At least Obsidian realized they can't make everyone happy, so at the least the players can pick and choose which features to enable or disable.

I'm seriously wondering why everyone thinks it looks so good, but then I recalled this place is polluted with storyfags.

Because it looks v.good. Looks better in fact than most of cRPG i played including 2D and 3D ones.

If you means by "look" as mechanics and combat. Yeah that was your standard RTwP combat, chaotic clausterfuck with trash mobs here and there.

I didn't notice anything chaotic about the combat, unless you think all real-time combat is chaotic. In which case I'd hate to see you guise try to play RTSes or RTTs.

It also looked better than NWN, DA, and Kotor. There's a range of quality in rtwp.

Josh said:
rope kid why did you not brutally insult RPS during your RPS interview and kick them out of your office.
it was in the UK and the guy who interviewed us was rill coal
Good riddance to Grayson.

Enjoy the Revolution! Another revolution around the sun that is. Serpent in the Staglands Dead State Divinity: Original Sin Project: Eternity Torment: Tides of Numenera Wasteland 2 Shadorwun: Hong Kong Divinity: Original Sin 2 A Beautifully Desolate Campaign Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire Pathfinder: Kingmaker Pathfinder: Wrath I'm very into cock and ball torture I helped put crap in Monomyth
What, is there a story between Josh and RPS?

1) Grayson said Wasteland 2 beta looked better than Eternity pre-alpha. Roguey is still butthurt.

2) RPS gave Feargus and Obsidian a hard time over non-existent bugs in South Park.

3) They also gave FO:NV a bad review.

They've really done a good job capturing the IE feel. This looks like exactly what I was hoping would be made post-2002.

When leveling up, do you have to allocate your acquired points immediately or can you save them and use them later at anytime?

No. Maybe KOTOR but KOTOR combat sucks so that's not a high bar.

The CYOA screens and everything else is also "Sawyer's contributions". He's the project director and lead designer, not the "combat balance guru", even if it seems that way.

For a game so very very focused on combat balance between classes and so forth, the combat itself looks pretty underwhelming. Select all, click on one enemy to focus fire, wait and watch the HP bars go down, repeat.

I realize that combat will get more complex later on in the game as more powers become available, but still. Not a dazzling first impression.

Despite that, everything else about the preview looks fantastic. Very much looking forward to this title.

It's not like any of the early IE games have impressive looking combat at low levels and without casters. I'm sure it'll look plenty impressive and beefier once you get further in the game.

Yeah, I'm sure it will get more complex. Honestly though I don't remember the IE games for their excellent combat. :?

Why the fuck can't any of these fucking doofuses look normal? Goddamn it. Why are Josh Sawyer and Chris Avellone the only ones who look like they've ever seen the inside of a fucking gym?
