When I ask admins about the possibility of custom CSS in an article I'd publish on the dex, they all drop their eyes, start pointing fingers to DU, and DU is nowhere in sight.
Whenever there's a possibility to write a bully DM to someone, all "admins" are rushing to be the first, tripping over themselves like fall guys.

Anyone who pines to be a forum moderator with zero financial gain, is certaintly not motivated by the idea of cleaning up spam / deleting bot accounts / making QOL improvements for the community.

So it's not hard to see why volunteer janitors flex their ego constantly.. especially when the person really in charge can barely manage a disinterested apathy over what goes on here.
