How is the crafting/currency situation? Does the game require a loot filter? Do items still get cluttered up with utterly retarded mods like +light radius and 1% fire resistance?
I've already gotten like 3 or 4 exalt orbs and 1 regal orb in act 1.

No, unless wasting your time is incline to you. What is the point of an enemy that kills you to be erased? Incline would be if every time a mob kills you it gets additional modifier. Now the design genius is "well that encounter that was challenging is gone and we restarted your zone"... :deathclaw:

Does the game require a loot filter?

There is less loot than Ruthless, now instead of farming orbs, you are farming gold to buy/gamble items from vendors. :happytrollboy:

can't find a configuration to have a clear image quality, it's all too blurry. I'm playing at 1920x1080.
Did you disable upscaling? I think it's enabled by default

Hmmm, will try that later, I'm not sure if I selected the no upscale option.
Finally, FSR+native AA is working for me. For some reason, DLSS wasn't an option despite having a Nvidia card (a 1660 super but I'm sure it's compatible with DLSS). On a side note, changing shadows+global illumination to just shadows has been a huge FPS boost on busy zones.

Not sure what to think of the resets after death. It is a bit stupid that this may delete the encounter, as BlackAdderBG already said.

It's trying to be a souls-like in hack and slash form. I expect this to be reversed during EA at one point. I expect a lot of stuff to be changed tbh.

You can just pause the game in the middle of a boss fight, click "go back to checkpoint" and reset the boss fight. So much for hardcore gaming.
This is still an improvement over "quit game", which was the previous developer approved goto solution for HC chars.
The woke writing is annoying for sure. Everything post-PoE1 Dominus with couple exceptions is terrible, so far after half of act 2 PoE2 is even worse. The art guys on the other hand are still coomers.
PoE1 was a bit all over the place imo. Ranger and scion are both turbofeminists, but witch was cool.

That's quite interesting. Exalts basically drop like transmutes in poe1?

Still think it's a bit dubious to ask players to remember which mods go where, and which are mutually exclusive. Which is the absolute bare minimum needed to use exalts properly. Unless they'll be so common you'll just slam them on every half decent rare you identify.

yes, there is no crafting bench so you can only craft via orbs. I already used like 3 and i am still in act 1 halfway.

You get plenty of orbs if you disenchant/salvage useless items. Don't be stingy, especially with transmutations. Even got an exalted drop in the middle of act 1. And make use of runes as that's the replacement for crafting benches.

It isn't really, because you can't remove runes. It's not like an open suffix/prefix you can craft on and change depending on what stat you need to fix your build at the moment.

I wonder if that'll get changed. I bet it will if it's really supposed to fill the crafting bench utility.

Played this one all day long and loving it. It still has some little connection problems at rush hours but other than that it is a smooth ride, mostly.
Graphics and atmosphere is top notch, nice detail on areas and monsters. Most special effects are clean and up to this point I can still tell what is going on, on screen. Boss battles are good with nice moves and soundtrack. PC voice overs are also very improved at last.

Started with a minion witch and it is beyond horrible. Minions deal little to no damage and they die too easly. Auto summon is actually making things worse because %80 of the time they resummoned inside some boss aoe... I gave up after 1st area boss and started to play with my friend.
Group play is much improved and we never had a problem, except loot grabbing but that is the best kind of rivalry playing these kind of games.
I played as a monk and he was a sorc, we just cleaned the map and bosses even without looking. Monk is godly as soon as you get a decent weapon and sorc.is deadly as long as she keeps casting. I love the mobilty moves and damage on the monk and he has really good snergy with sorc. A well placed bell skill procced by fast casts from sorc melts bosses in seconds. Both are very fragile though and monk especially suffers from ranged attackers at the beginning.
Then I trief merc, giving up on necro witch and got really surprised. He was the least interesting till now for me but he is beast of a class. Right from the start till 2nd act I rolled over my enemies graves. Both shots and grenades are great and they work very well together. Probaly keep playing this one to see how OP will it become after some witch hunter levels.

I didn't really need to roll that much. Most boss attacks can be easly dodged by moving sideways while not attacking/ casting.

So far, after playing for 5 minutes it is a huge downgrade. I have yet to find a melee weapon for my witch, and I can't even punch enemies while having skeletons summoned.

I hope melee witch is an option, and that classes are really just a starting point rather than locking you into certain skills and ways to play, because that is how I played the previous PoE and really enjoyed that. That was what set PoE apart from the other Diablo clones.

Edit: I was so disappointed by the no punching while skeletons are summoned that I deleted the character and am trying a melee sorceress now. At least I can punch freely since I won't be using any sorcerer spells.

you can't start the build like that; it always starts under a spell, honeymoon phase, and then she'll transition to melee witch as time goes on

Sure you can. You just have to rely on punching. Working out for my new sorcerer. Still trying to get past the first boss and I died a few times, but after farming the first area a couple times I actually have some armor and a shield. No melee weapon though.

So far mixed feelings. Bosses are fun but everything else is weird. Trying to synergise skills with my ranged characters but that at least at the beginning doesn't work. Using grenades as merc or lightning rod as ranger at the distance is wasted effort. That works only if mobs doesn't move and they doesn't move when they are attacking you in melee. Feels pointless. Tried freezing enemies and shotgunning them with merc but with reloading mechanic I can shot one mob while the rest thaw out. :?

Ofc no, I've got grand total of like 3 exalts in two acts, it's still not that abundant. More like chaos orb or jew orb from poe1
