There's the Blessed Path platemail or whatever it is if you do some puzzle in one of the dungeons that comes with bonuses to wisdom/charisma. I think only Lawful Good characters can wear it though.

Also Paladins can use Smite Evil more often per day if they wear it.
I see. Enhancement bonus?

Can Druids wear full plate in this game? If not, is Ironwood armor available?

I had to go check an old save before I sold it to make sure:

Blessed Path, +2 Full Plate
+2 Wisdom/Charisma
Can only be equipped by characters of good alignment
Grants the wearer a +2 enhancement bonus to Wisdom and Charisma
Grants the wearer a +4 saving throw bonus to compulsion and poison effects
If equipped by a Paladin, they may use Smite Evil two more times per day

Actually now that I think of it, if you take the Fighter archetype Tower Shield Specialist, you can definitely build a decent character out of that. A magical Tower Shield brings enough AC to the table that it outclasses the Shield spell by a significant margin.

Thanks a lot! Planning to create the following basic build: Dwarf/Fighter/Battleaxe + Heavy Shield. I hate the way tower shields look in this game, it's like carrying portable doors into battle. The remaining question is: Battleaxes or Dwarven Waraxes?

So if you're going heavy shield, I strongly recommend you get the two-weapon fighting feat line.

I also recommend not specialising into one weapon, because you don't know what great 1-handed weapons you're going to come across during the game.

Umm... That is exactly what tower shields are...

"This massive wooden shield is nearly as tall as you are. In most situations, it provides the indicated shield bonus to your AC. However, you can instead use it as total cover, though you must give up your attacks to do so. The shield does not, however, provide cover against targeted spells; a spellcaster can cast a spell on you by targeting the shield you are holding. You cannot bash with a tower shield, nor can you use your shield hand for anything else.

When employing a tower shield in combat, you take a –2 penalty on attack rolls because of the shield’s encumbrance."

It is a portable door...!

Hospitaler is pretty solid. You lose a few Smites and Mark of Justice, which is huge downside because Mark is an amazing boss killer. But you gain immunity to death which lets you laugh at a few important game mechanics, and better healing.

I think Hospitaler is the better dip, while pure Paladin is better if I get to Paladin 11+

Last time I skimmed, Hospitaler doesn't get better healing. Or did I miss something? I specifically remember thinking that it was weird that the Hospitaler didn't get stronger Lay on Hands or Channel Positive Energy, especially since they nerfed the PF:K version compared to the PnP version.

In the PnP version, Hospitalers get an Aura of Healing that is pretty powerful once a day, but in PF:K they only get Aura of Life, which is potentially useful al day, but in practice incredibly circumstantial. I think both options are anus - the Hospitaler shojld've gotten more powerful heals and such, first and foremost, imo.

So I just learned that the game's Barbarian class uses the Pathfinder Unchained Barbarian rules. This means that Rage adds flat attack/damage bonuses instead of a Strength bonus.

This is unremarkable other than that it is a small nerf to aspects of the character that might otherwise benefit from an increased Strength bonus. Off the top of my head, Strength bonus applies to 2-handed weapons with a 50% bonus, which means that the flat Rage bonuses don't make 2H weapons better. Strength also has combat maneuver-related bonuses. Strength can also boost your intimidate skill if you have the relevant feat.

On the positive side, it means that Barbarians can be more flexible, in that they don't have to use Strength as a main damage-dealing stat. This benefits TWF Barbarians hugely, for example.

Also, the stacking bugs in the game are ridiculous right now. Almost everything stacks that shouldn't. Natural Armor bonuses are stacking with each other in almost every situation, as far as I can tell.

Of course it does not. You're technically not casting (even though there aren't separate animations for absorbing ingredients/imbibing extracts).

I'm assuming they are, but it sucks to be forced to wear one at the expense of wearing something else, because the class gets very little out of intelligence boosts.

Instead of waiting for the patch on the 22nd i think i will play chapter 1/2 (due to the overall issues with the last few chapters)and then wait for abit. Going to make a sorcerer a Sylvan one i think, However i have some questions for the people that have made it further then me in the game.

Are there any stats books in the game?
Do +Stat items stack together?

Trying to decide if i should max on CHA at the start or go with 18 to get some more attribute points.

It's rarely worth it to completely max an ability score, usually it's much more efficient to place those points somewhere else.

What kind of Sorcerer are you making, and what's your current ability score distribution & race?

Might take a closer look at the stats later and drop the int to 10 (depends on how much i want the skill point once i start the character creation)

Most likely i'm going to have him focus on Buffs and save based spells, I might take 1 summon spell at some point.
Going to skip most if not all ray spells.

It shouldn't, because it states 'enhancement bonus', which is the same bonus (usually) that items give you.

I seem to recall reading somewhere that in P:K such effects also stack, so its possible to get really high DCs. But don't quote me :)
