Well, we were talking about Trobold where they are IIRC. Have to make sure to have Shield of Faith, Barkskin (full from Jub), Giantslayer Clasp (purchasable from Bart), and Cat's Grace up on Harrim. Give him 3 Mobility and Fight Defensively. If you do you can tank Trobold using his + 4 Racial AC and the AoOs shouldn't matter unless you get really unlucky. Use the +2 Heavy Shield (also from Bart map) and +1 Full Plate. Can supplement with the +3 Dodge AC dagger if you need to (shouldn't) but I prefer Lightning Duelist from Moskovic fight to get Initiative up. That lets you get Fighting Defensively bonus established before getting attacked. Add Stunning Barrier vs Harg.

Tbh I am interested in saving throw disadvantage most of all, I think it's very strong in KM since you can't get it natively with Mythic Path or Metamagic. Reason why I asked about combat casting is because I am interested in having touch of chaos landing realiably rather than lose the action to a concentration check. But I guess the AC might be a good way to do it without wasting a feat.

Frankly it's more work than I liked in Ch2, but the tanking is nice with so much random stuff running around. And as we've seen with BG3 applying disadvantage is often worth the downsides. It's smoother in VTomb. Barbarian Highlands he can tank plus cast cones to good effect. Ch2 and 4 have a lot of Giants (and level 3 of Depths). He can ride the bench elsewhere.

yeah concentration checks aren't something to worry about. the rolls are easy enough, and you don't have stuff like teleporting babaus forcing themselves onto your backline.

You pick up Harrim somewhere between lvl 2 and 4 and they certainly are a thing between there and lvl 10. Touch of Chaos is a lvl one ability and IIRC Spell Pen can even be an issue with it. Luckily SR is relatively rare in P:K compared to Wrath.

Against non-Giant mobs Harrim isn’t particularly difficult to hit until later either. It’s something you need to play around with to get the most out of, but it can make the difference in the toughest fights when used well.

If you're splashing 2xinquisitor you could take it to 3x for solo tactics + allied spellcaster. If it's borked like it wotr you get +2 spell pen for every ally around. Probably a late 3rd level when spell pen becomes an issue.

2 levels is bad enough. He really needs that spell progression to get to the business spells for his Domains and keep Destructive Aura progressing. Solo Tactics is great of course (Monster Tactician Harrim is a viable and fun build) but not really what he’s trying to do as a Cleric.

SR is rare enough in P:K not to worry about it.

Btw, have you cucks realized that the game reuses the same map for its SHIT TIER exploration over and over and over again?
I'd be fucking EmbarrasseD to put such shit in an 1-man indie game! But you cucks eat that up.

Oh I completely forgot that this trashfire has no stealing and no concept of ownership lol. Open locked chest next to lizard chief? None cares, why, who gives a shit!
Pickpocket? Quests?! NAH, just stuff the copy paste maps with monster and loot item! kek
Should have invested time into working RPG mechanics instead of pointless classes.

On unfair I remember enough times of failing to pass SR that I took spell penetration feats though.
I went back and forth. Without Mythic Spell Pen it just seemed better to use Conj spells and attacks and not bother with it. Some of the hardest stuff is Undead that doesn't have SR.

Im on that quest with Kanerah and Kallike called Matter of Principle. We met their friends and the soul eater. Now quest log tells me to talk to her in private. I think I should be looking in Tuskdale, but I can't seem to find her - not in the inn, not in the town centre, not in the throne room.

Is turn based even playable in this game? wouldnt it take like 200 hours to finish with all the fights
Better than Deadfire, worse than Wrath.

If you learn how to suck less it doesn't take very long.

It doesn't matter how much you suck or don't suck, completing Kingmaker in Turn-Based only would still take a fuckton of time because there's a ridiculous amount of combat, Worse still, after a certain point, a lot of it is completely trivial and doesn't require any strategizing or effort from the player, making Turn-Based pointless. Chapter 4 is especially guilty of this. Other than 1 or 2 optional encounters, you can go through the entire thing by just right-clicking on everything, even on Unfair. The enemies you face are far too weak for a Party of that level, so it's just a complete roflstomp. But going through them all in Turn-Based mode would still take forever because there's like 20 trillion of them.

Dudes, I'm about to start my virgin run and need some advice.
I'm D&D 3.5 illiterate - haven't played anything past IWD2, not even NWN or ToEE (yeah), so bear with me.

I suffer from chronic restart syndrome, which usually leaves me burned out and not finishing anything, so this time I want to plan MC build at least in general.

Looking at classes, Eldritch Scion looks cool - checked some discussions and seems the general consensus is that STR build is generally better than DEX one, which is feat hungry.

I don't wanna overthink this and spend too much time on planning feat/spell/skill progression, so just couple of general questions:

1. Race - human will do fine or should look at other options?
2. Stat-wise - 16/13/14/10/10/16 - this ok for STR build?
3. Dip of 4 lvls of DD - this seems to be popular option to boost STR and better than going pure ES - if so, what's the best timing for the dips?

Also, what's the suggested diff for a 3.5 newbie who doesn't know how to min-max shit and make custom party of heavily multiclassed munchkins?

Human is arguably one of the better options if not the best option.

2. Stat-wise - 16/13/14/10/10/16 - this ok for STR build?

Sure, seems alright.

3. Dip of 4 lvls of DD - this seems to be popular option to boost STR and better than going pure ES - if so, what's the best timing for the dips?

Will let someone else go in on this, I'd probably just go pure personally.

Also, what's the suggested diff for a 3.5 newbie who doesn't know how to min-max shit and make custom party of heavily multiclassed munchkins?

Normal, maybe challenging if you're feeling adventurous. I'd start on normal though and see how it feels, you can always adjust later if you're getting wrecked or finding it too easy. I wouldn't go above challenging until you're pretty comfortable with the game or genre though.

Multiclassing is mostly for solo builds, going straight 20 is fine is parties. Check Desiderius posts.

Pathfinder is much better about this than 3.5.
