Is there something special you have to do to get the Oculus extend ability to work? I have it in my belt slot but spells aren't getting extended. Guessing it's just broken but wanted to check.
I did. I don't know if it actually deserves it, because of all the technical issues and the janky, tedious endgame - but the core of the game is "core of GOTY" and by the time it's polished enough to be GOTY, it won't be eligible anymore. So did anyone else vote this Steam GOTY?
Dueling swords makes sense, since you're in Aldori territory.Yeah, even mid-game there's tons of dueling swords and elven blades for some reason, as opposed to pretty much all other weapons, with few exceptions. Both dueling sword and elven blade have GREAT endgame options.
But to be fair, both were prohibitively expensive early on in the game, too, and IIRC the Shield of Balduran wasn't even *that* good, it just completely negated some of the potentially harder enemies in the game (which is pretty shit, but still). And like you say, it's in a very special magic shop, filled to the brim with magic shit. I'm not a big fan of the trope, but it makes a certain amount of sense, and the shop is meant to basically last the entirety of the game, to be returned to again and again.Robe of Vecna and Shield of Balduran are from shitty free proto-DLC added after the release. And they mark the start of decline.
Also, at least they are in a special maaagical shop, that makes a bit better.
Yeah, I didn't mean to shit on it for not making in-universe sense or anything, it more a bit weird from a design perspective. But yes, out of the exotic weapons, the dueling swords probably make the most sense. It's harder to explain why I'm finding more Kukris than shortswords and more elven blades than flails or maces, etc.Dueling swords makes sense, since you're in Aldori territory.
As for curve blades, you're in the forest a lot, I guess? There aren't that many important elves I remember outside of Jamandi, some artisans, and Storytellerif he is actually an elf
A bug. I believe it was intended to help you in battle with the defaced sister. Which it in fact does if you take extra pains and lure her to it.Another question about the Abandoned Keep,I found and activated the Iron Golem. Golem says Master Protection mode activated and then proceed to stand there in that place and do nothing... what is up with that?
True, the itemization is pretty wonky. Maybe the fact that there are so few Longswords is Avellone trolling Sawyer for Deadfire having 10x more unique swords than any other weapon.Yeah, I didn't mean to shit on it for not making in-universe sense or anything, it more a bit weird from a design perspective. Imagine some guards or police officers getting wasted in one of your cities and party so hard that people literally fucking die, the gods frown upon your rule and the stability of your entire country suffers."Disaster"
Nothing to do with autums sale, I just checked out a lot of recent reviews, they are mostly from people with 100+ hours into the game. Seems a fair bit of them waited for 1.1 patch before leaving their review. How nice of themThe Autumn sale gave Kingmaker a nice boost to its review score. Not as good as Deadfire (95% overwhelmingly positive), but it went from 57% mixed to 70% mostly positive.
Fuck knows, I'm on immersive mode and I have to guess what the enemy's status is, as far as I can tell. It's neat, though. Reminds me of Baldur's Gate. Having to use my intuition a bit.how do see afflictions/buffs placed on enemies?

Turns out going full out chaotic neutral in the matters of state (this is the land of freedom, no taxes for anyone) actually saves your kingdom. Kingdom was already troubled, but now everyone is back to serene.
So, the way to success is to establish Anarcho-Capitalism?Turns out going full out chaotic neutral in the matters of state (this is the land of freedom, no taxes for anyone) actually saves your kingdom. Kingdom was already troubled, but now everyone is back to serene.
It's easier to get more BP overall if you take the mid-tax option (flat +2/week per unupgraded region, +5/week per upgraded region), but this is definitely the best way to improve Unrest, and if you rush Economy hard after unlocking this, you probably won't notice the difference in BP anyway.Turns out going full out chaotic neutral in the matters of state (this is the land of freedom, no taxes for anyone) actually saves your kingdom. Different people feel differently about same things. Like how people in EU look at Americans as savage brutes because of their gun freedom stupidity. So, the way to success is to establish Anarcho-Capitalism?Turns out going full out chaotic neutral in the matters of state (this is the land of freedom, no taxes for anyone) actually saves your kingdom. i don't know About that particular race/class, but i find the reaction towards non-stat checks are pretty bare compared to pillars 2. while it is true, most of the class/race/place of origin checks are mostly fluff in deadfire, i find it still nice. pathfinder doesnt really go that deep imo/Has anyone played as an assimar and/or a paladin? I'm just curious about how reactive the game is towards the race and class, plus their heritage and deity selection.

Yeah, I'll have to write one myself. Also I hope everyone is voting it for GOTY.There's more reviews because one of the ways to level up the Steam Awards badge is to write or re-submit a review for one of the games you picked. Which means people are picking Pathfinder: Kingmaker for their nominations.
This kind of reactivity is one of the game's weakest points, unfortunately. Only once or twice in passing did I notice references to having Shelyn as a deity, and that was by Valerie (do note that this was on a character that only made it to starting Chapter 3).Has anyone played as an assimar and/or a paladin? I'm just curious about how reactive the game is towards the race and class, plus their heritage and deity selection.
the only place I actually used rations was Armag's Tomb.
I don't really care for effortless loot.
