some people are just born warlocks and like spamming eldritch blast/sneak rays. you can't even beat this out of them with heavy stick.

Wind whatever necklace yeah, but it's not the only item afaik.

Honestly Suramgain spell should have worked, but I don't think it adds up with its stat check bonus.

even ring of Circumstances does not have it.
it gives you circumstantial +dex.

And WH is endgame enemy, not all the game. I outrolled last levels of rog dungon and Shrimp boss.

I’m such a genius I managed to forget to buy the Ring on that playthrough so that + 19 is +7 DEX, +8 for the two init feats, and the necklace. Totally should have splashed Wiz for the Hare familiar.

I... genuinely had not expected my comment to be this offensive. Really, really sorry.

I read too much into the first one. My bad. I built it like that because the kid wanted to fight with a Glaive in Heavy Armor and I wanted to try out the new feats.

They’re good.

It would be better with a Fauchard, but probably not better for the kid. Glaive is already destroying entire fights so whatevs.

Pathfinder: Wrath I'm very into cock and ball torture
Heh, I completely missed out a part that someone asked for a build with Glaive)

I am yet to play complete run for EE and endless dungeon so I wanted to ask: is there some new generic (or not) Fauchards? Relying on Tulip for a crafted ones is a bit annoying.

Do you get Dark Bidding from her too? Greater Necrotic is useful. +3 vanilla is at Rinderpest. Depths gear has been beyond disappointing past the Gloves.

Jesus, you really know how to hurt a guy. I’m the polar opposite of InEffect. Guy doesn’t even know how to use a Bard.
don't u dare. InEffect is the neanderthal of PK builds.
He’s an odd bird. Uses no party-wide effects on either party so more or less is playing on Unfair+.

Except he said he does use Cloud, so he alternates between Story and Unfair+.

I'm so old I need an interpreter from the 21st Century for that entire comment.

time to make a sorcerer who trash talks people in filler instead of throwing acid splashes around

Spamming Demoralize is a viable thing to do when not casting. Beats Acid Splashes.

I don't know about other builds but my MC scion build gets a lot out of those 4 rogue levels. +2D6 sneak attack damage, Evasion, 2 free combat feats, 1 free feat (Weapon Finesse), dex-to-damage on the Sai weapon type without agile (which means he can use Steelwind effectively which gives an insane number of attacks), Debilitating Injury to cause Bewildered which is basically +2 to all attack rolls.

And Uncanny Dodge.

So I don't see those four rogue levels as simply a method of obtaining Uncanny Dodge, they also give a shitload of other abilities, bonuses and feats.

Yes I could probably itemize initiative, and grab Improved Initiative, and do other things, all in order to get a great initiative which I really don't give a shit about except to avoid losing Dodge AC in the first round... no thanks, I'll stick with my 4 levels of rogue

The party I have chosen to roll with feels a bit weird. PC Vivisectionist, Valerie, Amiri, Tristan, Linzi, Octavia. I think I have covered tanking (Valerie and Vivisectionist), but I have 3 guys who can't get too close to battle (Tristan, Linzi, Octavia). I am not too happy about that.

Tristan has awesome healing so he is a keeper. Octavia is the only wizard I can have (mercs aside), so I guess I am keeping her too. So that only leaves Linzi to be dropped (for Ragnorak or some of the later guys), but Linzi looks like a character who is meant by the developers to be in the party. What do you guys think? Is the party I mentioned decent or does it have too many weaklings?

Sounds decent. Linzi can use Mirror Image, so it's not that bad most of the game. Just be careful with archer-heavy enemy groups.
I've actually managed middling AC on Octavia, so that she was rarely targeted - gave her both daggers with Dodge AC bonuses plus good AC bracers, the mage robes tend to have decent AC bonuses (usually Deflection, though), Shield spell. And later spells with AC bonuses - Frightful Aspect, late game also that Water shield. She also has MI plus she's often Invisible.

Best four levels in the game. Why not go for both? After the stupid taking turns shit in D:OS2 I’m just glad to be playing a game that lets me act first when I earn it.

I’ve been working on getting Harrim some better initiative this time thru and it’s really improved his performance.

Looks fine. You’ve figured out the importance of Bard, and yeah she does better at the front if you’re careful. I like to have Tristian and Octavia fight with weapons too (Tristian enlarged with reach, Octavia with Jav) but that doesn’t seem to have caught on yet. Lot of great weapons in the game - shame not to use them.

There are also different companions who are better suited for different chapters so don’t feel like you have to lock yourself in to one lineup.

AFAIK if you have at least two characters who have decent AC, the enemies do switch from one tank but then they meet your other tank, and then next time the AI tells them to switch targets again they happily switch back to your first tank, then back to your other tank, and so on, ad infinitum.

I didn't test this thoroughly but I read somewhere that that is how the AI works sometimes

So just one tank is garbage but if you have at least 2 you should be ok.. maybe?

Damn, I never used Cacophonous Call before with a bard but this spell is lit. It it just one Will save and if they fail they spend the rest of the combat standing there and waiting to be killed. Better then Hold Person and many others of similar levels.
