Insert Title Here Pathfinder: Wrath
masterfully hidden secret OP abilities

I’m surprised the Guild Wars mechanic of capturing Elite Skills from the toughest mobs (some not easy to find) never caught on.

That is the main reason why system was never used by another DnD game again. It has nothing to do with DnD.

PS I am not trying to prove that system is bad, I think it is really cool, if flawed. I wonder why Bioware decided to create it for one game - I guess it is mix of attempts to make high lvl DnD interesting and using mage as primary antagonist.

Informative! No surprises there, Bioware probably screwed around with the system to create cRPG gameplay they liked. And it was awesome (and unbalanced, yes).

I have no disagreements that, with the mages exception, Pathfinder (as we see it in Kingmaker) looks and plays as a much more interesting system than BG2's system. It is just those fucking mages that I am missing, in every RTwP game I have played since.

Okay, so I just finished the Season of Bloom quest, and I have a question: how was I supposed to figure out how to solve the bird puzzle? Were there any clues during the quest? I had to go online to find out how to solve that one.

That one is by fault of the developers and the player. You have to actually read what the old gnome was telling you, and take note of it. He tells you a story, of which are crucial details on how to advance through the area, and how to do the bird puzzle. The fault is also on the developers for not making the riddle more concise and to the point.

Finished Chapter 5. Pitax was pretty good. I am entering the final 2 chapters, and the game has not gone to hell yet. I am impressed.

Welp, this is where the game starts to fall apart. Good luck. Stock up on scrolls, camping supplies, and potions. Also make sure you have a good amount of gold, at least 1-2 million. There is a trader who sells expensive shit.

Sup bros, im not sure if im being an idiot of this is a level design problem or intentional.
While doing varnholds lot dlc, im at the lostlarn keep depths, right before the final fight. Is there no fucking way of going back if i want to get the Lions claw falcata? I cannot believe they made it this way deliberately.

I finished all the pre-endgame content with 230 days left (just hit lvl 19) and quit out of boredom after hitting skip day 30 or 40 times.

I may make myself finish at some point.

You have to give them credit for trying to keep the last part also challenging. Many games become trivial after the beginning, most classics included. P:K at least doesn't drop in perceived difficulty. I think that is actually one of the strong points of the game overall.

Ending is always a slog for me. I kind of just rush through the House at the End of Time. Then after all of that, I skip through the ending slides. It's that much of a slog for me.

What? Was good fun. Pleasant to... Look at as well.
I like bigass swords. And broken ability combinations. And heavy character customization. Flashy, over the top abilities. Code Vein delivered on these fronts.
Swords... yes, it was the big 'swords'. I'm with you, Haplo.

Lol. When casuals complained in droves, the developers caved in, and pandered to them.

They lowered the difficulty of the very first 'not-so-random' encounter from wolves to those hyena things. They made the bandit attack at Oleg's a lot easier. They enlarged the spider cave so you could get to the berries without having to kill any swarms. And I believe they lowered the difficulty of the treant-owlbear at the temple. That's just all beginning stuff. Believe they made some hefty changes in late game too.

Made some changes to the later portions of the game as well. At the House at the End of Time, you used to spawn in the basement close to the ghosts. They changed it to where you would spawn on the first floor, close to the companions. They also made several changes to the Kingdom management.

It's a long game, and I can't be arsed to remember all of the changes the developers implemented since the release of the game.

Early level fight in DnD are way more reliant on RNG than later ones, Oleg fight was sometimes retarded with NPCs dying round 1 due to bad luck.

The swarm thing was stupid to put so early, no matter how many fucking tooltip/tutorial you put-in, it's bad design and they should know better.

Creating a sensible difficulty curve isn't pandering to casual, I'd dare say if done correctly it benefits grognards the most as it retain/transform more casual into regulars/hardcore ones.

You can still spawn on ghosts if you jump into the well from the wrong "layer", there are some changes HATEOT, mostly with key puzzle and new golems, but spawn point is not one of them.

Careful, adding that many elemental effects on a weapon unbalances the entire game somehow and you might as well be playing on story mode

What's the difference between Masterwork Weapons and Regular Weapons? Because I don't understand why Masterwork weapons should cost 400 gold... That's brutal for my unfair iron man run...
