Go fuck yourself. I was talking about before I knew what I was doing and my head was still messed up by bad InEffective advice. Trying to prevent newer players from going down that rabbit hole.

Even then wasn't trying to solo it the pathing is just weird in that one room. And obv Tristian was lucky to survive.

I can understand where Parabalus is coming from. Obviously it's not the optimal strategy, but sometimes it's simpler to just send your invincible character forward while everyone else wait behind doing nothing. You're basically cheating yourself out of a fun encounter, but at least it works. Sometimes I still do this when I play with my brain turned off and I don't want to think about anything, or when I'm facing certain encounters (the Astradaemon, the nightmare, the golems in Pitax...) while severely underleveled.

Well, rushing enemies solo works particularly well when you're a 19 level SS with Perfect Reflexes. Just sayin.

Probably the altar room with a few astradaemons and thantodemons.

Come my brothers. Let me demonstrate to you. The power of awkward clunky unarmed animation monks in Kingmaker. Where we're going. We don't need pants, or weapons - only our awkward fist animations.

Also Haplo you could do more than post your one SS build.

Nearly forgot about this one:
https://rpgcodex.net/forums/threads...urn-based-combat.125267/page-752#post-6900924

Guess it counts as 3rd :)

Even if its a little less munchkin.
I guess I can try to share my OP builds. I'll start with my favorite one:

Paladin 20.
Fuck feats, who cares about them.
Click the Divine Bond button when you enter a big area.
Click the Smite Evil button whenever you feel like it.
Cast Bestow Grace when you see scary enemies.
Cast Archon's Aura when you see too many enemies.

Done.

Archon’s must be up at all times. Preferably in multiples. Playing in field of suck good times.

I find it preferable not to be underleveled/invincible. Often the quest for the latter leaves one the former by gimping your class development with superfluous splashes.

Bring the whole gang and wreck house in a couple rounds. End up with a much more resilient team that is effectively invulnerable thru massive redundancy.

For example in Grenadier MC playthrough, double Displacer Beast Val was two tanks herself who could only be hit on 20, plus Displacement, plus Image on Val, plus Linzi with jacked up Dispel, Greater to get rid of True Seeing. Amiri delaying a turn to avoid aggro with Freebooter’s Bane then Charge but getting Shield from MC so not that easy to hit herself, likewise Tristian with Serpent Prince both two sizes larger, and Jaethal with 50 Perception and five attax for 70 damage at range.

This was all posted real time as it was happening. That playthrough was almost to the Pitax Palace. Was missing a Rez on MC probably should have rolled Chiurgeon. Important thing is Touch/SR bypassing debuffs.

Lmaooo so I just discovered that the various rod items that grant bonuses to spell DCs... stack with themselves. And it's pitifully easy to obtain multiple copies by just ordering Irlene to make rods and nothing else.

Evocation-focused bards are fun.

Having Linzi focus on Evocation is sort of funny. But for a bard MC, it is much classier to follow the example of Lúthien/Orpheus, ie to focus on Enchantment and to suck when it comes to inflicting damage.

If only one could obtain feats specialising in both Enchantment and Evocation

The Evo Bard spells aren't for inflicting damage lol. Think Sirens.

In P:K you kind of want both, but the place where the Evo spells really own you run into more of a Eurydice situation.

Lindzi is fun to be given all the persuasion feats. Imagine you're just an ugly fuck carrying a cute seal all the time.

NPC: "I DISAGREE WITH YOU, SIR!"

MC: "Ok."

*** produces Lindzi ***

NPC: "Awwwwww..."

MC: "Can I haz nao?"

NPC: "Sure."

I have a question about the resolution to "Troll Troubles" -
can you get both Hargulka and Tartuk as vassals?

No. You can only convince one of them after the other dies.

Pretty sure you can get them both if you're Chaotic. Or at least Harg as vassal and Tart as (late) ally.
