Wait, do spells in PK use spell components? That's great!

on some of them, mainly those tied into adventurers economy - raise dead, restoration i.e. diamonds diamon dust

there are others possibly but I'm not that high level yet.

What do you guys think about Tristian vs. Harrim when it comes to having a Cleric?

I like Harrim more as a character, but I'm wondering if I'm missing out by not bothering with Tristian.

If anyone's worried about the early time limit, don't be. Took me 27 days (out of 90) to explore EVERYWHERE and kill the Stag Lord.

Only problem being that this game is a drug and I binged it for 8 hours and it's 2 AM and I should sleep fuck

I like Harrim more as a character, but I'm wondering if I'm missing out by not bothering with Tristian.

Tristian seems to be the better in regards to actual healing power, as far as I can tell. If you aren't having any trouble with healing power, stick with you boy Harrim.

Tristian is an excellent healer due to his Selective Channel. That's about it. From what I've seen of him he's an alright guy, certainly not as obnoxious as Valerie can be.

Make sure to give him a ranged weapon because goddamn he will run into melee range with his robes on.

Tristian is better as a cleric. Much better.

Harrim is more like a damage guy and cleric.

The game has a nice Warcraft 3 feel to its 3d models. It would have annoyed people a decade or so ago. Nowadays it reminds them of NWN.

I am usually a die-hard fanboi of sprites and 2d backgrounds for my isometric games, but there is something I find really appealing about PK graphics.

Maybe you are right, its the 'warcraft 3' effect, something to do with a balance of simplicity overall, with detail in the parts that matter eg. all the equipment showing on character models. Whereas something like DivOS just looks like flashy, glitzy shit that makes my eyes want to vomit. Technically they are very similar so not really sure why I like PK so much. I am aesthetically confused...

Best way to kill big HP and AC slabs is to target their stats. Most of my mages in PnP are stat damage and negative levels bestowing machines with a side of battlefield control. Few things beat a Ray of Stupidity to the face other than a Split Ray of Stupidity to the face. At high levels, Feeblemind + Quickened Ray of Stupidity takes out most things.

You definitely can. IMO, as someone using Jaethal as a tank in one run-through, the biggest problem is that in-combat healing is a lot easier/more convenient with potions than with spells or (better yet) a combination of the two.

Can you craft stuff in the game? If you can, perhaps you can craft potions of Inflict Wounds for Jaethal.

Begining of Chapter 2 and Fire Bastard sword +1 and Dueling Sword+1 AND Improved cleave are insane killing 3 enemies in one hit with my first attack i wipe 1/3 to 1/2 encouter in one round if they are bunched together and i have Mithril Plate which is lighter than The hide armor. WUT ?

Oh, yay! Monty Haul campaign :D This is turning pretty funny. WBL table? What WBL table? No wonder they had to amp all the enemies by default.

Scimitars are the favored weapon of Serenrae, it makes sense.

Serenrae probably also wants its followers to be alive though.

Harrim if you want a frontline cleric with necromancy

Did you play the game?
She has fucking 38 AC at lvl4 with just 3 minor buffs. She also has 19 starting CON instead of 18 max possible with her other stats to compensate 15 CHA.
She also loses -2 attack penalty from shield at lvl 5.
Like, seriously, just look at this shit.

What's dumb is that my fighter has the same AC with waaaaay more damage. Being a pure tank doesn't win fights.

As I said, AC isn't everything. People who talk numbers like that tend to not know what the hell they are talking about.

You put the scimitar in the belt and bring out the crossbow. Best of both worlds.

There's a lot of hidden areas on the map that require high perception fyi. My highest perception is 31 and I'm still finding new areas on territory I've already covered before.
