For the aldori build i took one dip of monk for the crane style, but my will saves were still abysmal. I will restart and get wis to 18 and dump str and cha.
Should i use the adamantine full plate that is on sale for 18000?it gibs 3 dmg reduction.heavy armor fucks your initiative right?

It also fucks physical-based skills, such as Mobility (avoiding AoOs), athletics (climbing difficult areas, book mode swimming and such), stealth and trickery, if you care. Up to you, but IMO 18.000 gp is a bit steep for what you get. Could be worth it to partially protect yourself from a vicious weapon, when you find one.

As for Monk, did you pick the Traditional one? The new Unchained sub-classes have worse Will save progression. Anyway, it's just +2 for 1 level (but you don't really loose anything and gain a free feat in the process).
18 Wis for a warrior-type is overkill IMO.

You might also consider going Dwarf. Their racial gives them +2 vs spells, which they can upgrade by another +2 with a feat. Note some of the annoying effects in this game are not considered spells (like gazes).

Solution to this is just removing your armour for the skill check and then re-equipping it.

That would be pretty annoying... and doesn't help with combat movement.

Just about to start Chapter 6 (well, i already went into the portal, but somehow both Nok-Nok and Jewbelost got fingered, despite me finishing both their quests). Some questions, probably basically to Shadenuat
1) Someone was talking bout 'skipping whole chapter' - is it still a thing or even an issue? About 50-55 days before curse part vii expires, Linzi summoned everyone and basically told us that there's a portal in thousand voices. Starting from that day, lots of cards with fey problems started to appear (around 8 cards in 2 days). I promptly went to the castle of knives, killed the fey dragons (whatever their name is), got into the portal with 40+ days left. Did i miss anything or it's how I'm supposed to roll? I had some crusaders joining me and it seems the quest was not resolved (along with hellknights)
2) after going into portal, i've skipped all hostile mobs, and met Volly, Harrim, Jewbelost and Nok-Nok (haven't gone further) - first two survived (and harrim apparently 'died' on his own volition but chickened out), other two were FoDded with no possible res. I went in blind, with exhaustion debuff and not optimal gear (i can easily get extra +10 fort for nok-nok). Is it possible to fish out save and not get them gibbed (don't really care about the jew, but I need nok-nok cause MCA and he's actually the best dps in my party)?
3) Does this whole thing even matter? I mean, if it's chapter 6, then there should be an extra chapter, so getting half the team killed isn't really nice.
1) Irovetti > House at the edge of time, so don't really understand the question. Final chapter after this one is optional. The death cards are infinite and will ever rise in DC.
2) In chapter 7 you get mercenary dude. But I'd just re-roll back and replace dead with mercenaries. Your save is bugged.
3) If they dead they dead. You want strongest team for Chapter 7. Fortitude doesn't matter, Will does.

1) Someone said that it's possible to skip something due to bugs, I think, or maybe it was wrongly assumed at that time.
2) what do you mean by "bugged"? She talks to them, they refuse to join her, she casts FoD -> fort save failed, boom dead. I made Nok-Nok the jester, and Jubilost refused to join the first world and gifted that boon to the insane faded wizard.
3) Why Will if she casts FoD? DC = 31, so with 24+ fort save (which is possible to get) it might not kill at least Nok-Nok. Wild hunt stun can be negated with FoM, other things they cast do not do anything substantial (heal removes insanity, I have bazillion scrolls of it)

I also found for sale a mithril full plate that gives +3 to dex!thats much better as it increases my ac by 3.
By 2, if you have min. 16 Dex. But that's still nice. Particularly that its also much lighter and has lesser armor check penalties.

That's a bug, that's the thing. They should not die if you did all their quests. Don't know if you can override it with high Fortitude. But those are plot deffs.

Well, i thought it might be "wrong" choices - I did not let Nok-Nok build his shrine, and it might have been 'better' (tm)(C) to force the jew to accept the gospel and join the Elohim. It certainly felt that way with Valeria Ilyinichna, but she does not betray you anyway, as I surmised. Although I might have forgotten to talk to him after the thing (since I've reloaded and re-rolled few months thanks to botched death cards), but I think I did

I did all companion quests, and nok-nok died no matter what. He even made his shrine.
The house is just ultra buggy.
Also, all you missed it the XP of the curse part VII,nothing else AFAIK.
I waited and found that the 7th attack was much easier compared to the 6th.
I was lvl17 btw.

Speaking of saves, on my fighter I've ignored most combat feats except shit that gives attack and improves crit range. Instead I've picked shit that improves saves plus blind fight and the like. My rationale was that no-selling save or suck/die abilities will save me more headache in the long run than exploding 3 kobolds at a time or tripping a dude that would die faster if I just hit him in the face with a sharp metal stick.

Am I wrong in my assumption that all the fancy shit is just an underwhelming way of appeasing the dumbfucks who complained that fighters are boring because they feel the autistic need to micromanage mmo abilities on every char?

And what is up with disarm and sunder? If I disarm you or sunder your shit it should be gone period. What, the weapon magically reappears in your hand after 1 round, your armor magically welds itself back together after 1d3 rounds? Bull fucking shit. That shit's already super situational, now it's almost useless. Was this also the case in 3.5 ?

I can load in any case, I saved half-way through there via named save, so it's not a problem. I was a third bar away from lv 17, i think or maybe just at level 16, not sure. Don't think I'll get there either way

Probably it's best to just put the game on hold and wait for the patches (or try GH + belt +8 + other buffs (aka failed save suragramin thing) shtick to see if it works)
My rationale ?
1) Depends what you actually trying to do, it's probably better to get the SR ring and various stat-buffing items rather than using feats that give less in sum as compared to the +8 belt or wizard's hat. In any case, getting super-high saves does not make you immune to rolling 1 and instantly failing the check. For almost every problem, there's also a spell that completely negates the dangerous effect (DW, FoM, MI) sans the abovementioned FoD/Destruction (since it's not a death effect but unholy/divine damage). It's much easier to die due to low AC / bad control (your spellcastings' own DC / bad SR penetration ) rather than to a instakill (i think only vordakai, evil chaotic sorceror in the palace, lich and dragon use it and only sorceror can spam it reliably thanks to his 59 cha)

That's one way to put it.

Blind Fight + Iron Will x 2 + Some Wisdom is not a bad package for a Fighter in this game. I don't think Fancy Shit can't work, but feel free to play your own way.

If you put some work into it, that tripped dude will not only not be able to cast nasty stuff at you, but also your 3 dudes that surround him will get an Attack of Opportunity when he tries to get up.
Likewise if your 3 dudes have Combat Reflexes, Improved Critical with a wide crit range weapon (say kukuri, scimitar, estoc, although 19-20 also works, I suppose) and Seize the Moment, you can basically double the number of your attacks.
So those this fancy shit can add to DPS too.

That's not even so much experience to justify redoing the ULTRA GRINDING at the house of the edge of time IMHO.
I already killed at least 60-70 between Ghost guards and Wild Hunt guys. Really felt like a chore.
Buff, freedom of movement, haste, use weird, rest, cure blindness, repeat.
Btw when you enter the House disable XP sharing for companions... they are dead anyway. So you can maybe gain a level during the house.

Already redone/restarted main char 5 times, i will just settle for autoattack fighter archer, give me tips for some no micro builds.
And explain me why this game is not turn based.

Gonna keep dumb dwarf and make wizard elf and human duelist sluts mercs.

But wait... i can't romance mercs or the ABBSbarbarian? Really?

The fucking "wild energies" inside the house. How does it work? Sometimes I don't have it, other times I do. Why?

Disarm and Sunder are indeed not great. They are OK for Bandit and Pitax chapters, and Sunder helps with Val's quest duel, but overall skippable.
Trip is good, prone is a great status effect. Greater Bull Rush is good too, if you have 3 or 4 melee guys because it provokes AoOs. The Charisma-based debuff ones (Cornugon Smash, Dreadful Carnage) are also quite good and Val should take them if you use her.

Are there any requirements, besides just not killing him,
to let Dugath become chief?
I just realized now that I never got that option back when I played that part in a previous patch.
