I bought the game, I'm enjoying it for its strengths like the combat system but the game is very flawed with regards to other aspects beyond just the combat and build mechanics. A highly rated RPG is well-rounded not incredibly good in one thing and incredibly shitty in another thing.

Think I will give up on the game. I'm in chapter 2, visited some locations and it was all just random combat encounters that has no impact on anything. Tried out the pitiful crusader stuff and it's just not for me. There is no hook driving me forward. Combat isn't that great, honestly TB feels janky and unpolished, much more so than Kingmaker somehow. It's not enough to get a playthrough from me. Who thought fighting demons would be so damn boring? NPCs just drones on about stuff and I feel myself zooning out every time I talk to one. The companions are probably one of the worst ones I have ever experienced in any RPG, and I'm not exaggerating. They talk and talk, but seem to say nothing expect whining about some shit that does not matter. Nobody seems to want to be in the crusade and it spills over onto me making me not want to play it.

Man, was really looking forward to this, since Kingmaker turned out to be one of my fav modern RPGs, but this just feels so damn meh on all fronts.

Cool patch for all noble mount users. Armor now supposedly works for mounts. At first, I was sceptic about mounted magus arcana rider, but oh boy free flanking, free attacks from horse and charge, zbs. There is also medium ( damn arcane failure chance) armour that gives a nice boost with charge. Too bad that you can't charge and use a speel through weapon at the same time ( usual magus shctics works, for mount too).

Fucked around with Grenadier+Trickster some more. Bomb AoE damage doesn't seem to be able to crit, only direct damage can. Ah well. Also, even if I have the Improved Improved Improved Critical, which increases the multiplier by 1, bombs still use the x2 multiplier. So it's bugged.

Right now Lich is superior to Trickster for Grenadier, because one of its feats applies Negative Energy damage bonus to bomb AoE damage. Trickster does have Microscopic Proportions, which for some reason stacks with Reduced Person, when applying extra DEX for a total of +8 DEX.

Now try the Bomb-throwing Rogue, since the game treats actual bombs as Weapons and he gets Sneaks on them.

Am I reading the class right and you only need one copy of a bomb (like a vial of holy water) and you can reuse it over & over?

I’d doubt that but who knows? There are advanced bombs that start showing up in Ch 4. You can also use Alchemical Weapon on Autocast with Grenadier to mix Bombs together to trigger Elemental Barrage.

I just checked in game and no it doesn't. The wording isn't very good: "At 2nd level, an underground chemist is able to retrieve an alchemical item as if drawing a weapon.". No idea what this means then...

Wait, by actual bombs do you mean the ones that go in the belt slots? I'll have to try those too.

And in other news, Rapid Shots seems to be bugged with Zen Archers, it removes one attack instead of adding one. 6 Attacks without Rapid Shot and 5 attacks with Rapid Shot. Weird. Unless I'm not getting something and it's the intended way.
