How many bugs did you encountered? I managed to finish the game and only encountered 3 major bugs. The exit icon not displaying in ch 2, the game crashing in Arueshalaes dream and my portrait disappearing in end game.
AOE's are bugged. Pathfinding (heh) is bugged. Character fell through the floor. Other stuff probably. Others have stated bugs they've encountered already and I said the one about the lich path the devs admitted to, so it's not like I'm making it up.
And here you see the difference between a person who actually played the game and knows where personally he hit bugs - and a person who spews nonsense for several dozens of messages. That is why I never trust anyone speaking of "bugs" or "buggy game" unless it is a precise list of things that do not work.

Basically, if one who claims "bugs" does not present a bug report just ignore those claims.

The patch hit, so instead of putting the game on hold I re-rolled a cavalier (gendarme). It seems like a really fun class, but in TB:

1. Very often you just cannot attack targets in range unless you move a bit first.
2. Sometimes you issue a charge order and you move an inch, stop and the action is wasted.
3. Sometimes, when ordering to attack targets a bit farther away without charge, your model stops on a piece of geometry, the animation spazzes out for like 2 seconds and returns to normal, but the action is wasted.

It also seems that the mounted combat feat doesn't work. Like, at all :negative:

It's not mounted combat, it's charge overall. I have problems with charging with my 2h fighter on foot too.

Yes, I had the same issue frequently in KM.

It's best to only charge if you have an uncomplicated trajectory to the target, even then it sometimes gets confused.

For me, Charge frequently fails even with "uncomplicated trajectory", even rather near and straight toward the target
:negative:

It's about 75/25 for me, as in it works 75% of the time.

It's still kinda annoying though as it often flubs my Bloodragers chance to get an attack in on the first round.

This is the Regill that should have been even if they did stick with the meme-stat build.

You get plenty of AC with his weapon, and it lets him beat face more. Did you even find it?

I really didn't want to wait until I ran into any special weapons the devs intended for their build that doesn't work as well without it that I also don't know about on the first playthrough. I need something consistent now. Camilla doesn't stack up in that department and the other option is Seelah and I really don't want her in my party right now.

The game is designed for Core with RTwP "v" button, which is TB with simultaneous movement and the ability to adjust your tactics on the fly in response to what the enemy is doing. Can't do that in TB.
okay, what is the RTwP 'v' button? I have played shitload of kingmaker and i have no clue what that is.

When you get a game first thing to do is read the Controls menu so you know what you're doing and can do. Then you set your autopause around that.

Do that and get back to us.

Must admit, I went in very dubious (especially considering the review comments), but I've not had any serious issues into Act 3 thus far.

I've not even had a single crash in 30+ hours of play.

I think I had more issues with Kingmaker a year on than I've had with Wrath so far.

Nature of women is gynocentric and turbo promiscious. Manners, style, courtship, hard-to-get etc are all products of Patriarchy

All Queens are Sluts in their heart, from Ginevra to Diana. Fantasy Queens are no different

Works fine without it and still makes no sense to abandon the Feats he comes with to use a Shield. It's annoying that they made most of the companions pretty restrictive as to set-up but you're kind of cutting off your nose to spite your face to ignore it.

Just fight Reduced but don't ignore STR. I never bother to get DEX-to-damage on him.

You find his weapon on the main path so pretty sure it's intended and makes the whole thing hang together.

For me in Turn Based it works maybe 50% of the time? Almost never works in many areas - which visually look fine.
So I frequently loose BOTH the round AND the far superior attack method (because finally I have to move and attack, without charge AB & damage bonuses).

But I remember it maybe working 75% of the time before yesterday patch? Maybe patch made it even worse.

That's actually a good point. I was noticing it failing much more frequently last night.

It's possible they borked it slightly more in the patch.

Normally you read the manual, but it seems Owlcat forgot to include that, very weird.

I think I've realized why I find the game so tedious. The entire game is designed around playing on easy/casual. The pacing fits someone just blowing through all these trash encounters without breaking a sweat and occasionally running up against an "overturned" fight that causes them to have to think for a second and maybe apply a buff before they beat it. I tried playing it on easy and the game flowed much better, and no I don't have issues understanding the system or beating the fights on core (so far anyway at the end of chapter 2).
Playing this on core is a profoundly tedious experience due to it breaking the pace of the game.
Had the game instead been designed around core+ or if it had been turnbased I think we would have had a much different game.

That is probably the case, but after initially playing on normal till tavern assault I ended up restarting on core because the process just wasn't engaging enough. It's a totally different game on core with every potion and scroll making a difference.

Sure, but this quickly becomes tedious when you reach the second chapter and the real copy pasting begins.

The fun is how much you need to improve to make Core feel like Normal. Very satisfying when you get there - and the game still throws curveballs at you to keep your on your toes at that point.

The game is designed for Core with RTwP "v" button, which is TB with simultaneous movement and the ability to adjust your tactics on the fly in response to what the enemy is doing. Can't do that in TB.

But the game is easy on core. It just forces you to engage with an unnecessary amount of systems for too large a percentage of the fights.

High Dex. Potions of mage armour, shield of fate, later magical items.
Slayer is a full BAB class with SA, dont need Dex for TWF feats, at will ability for + hit + dmg, autoconfirm critical hits.

Or you know wear armor. There's some great ones. Nakedness is not so stupidly supported this game.

No. It's full of bugs and bad writing. Not to mention the LGBT stuff.

Those who backed it seem to love it though.

I bought it in beta stage (which is pretty close to backing I guess) and mostly share your view. It's a big step down from Kingmaker. That being said that's almost expected by now--every year things get worse and the "averagely decent" standard lowers further. What was "meh" for 2015 is then stellar in 2018 and so on.

How do you ship a game featuring Mounted Comabt with the Mounted Combat feats doing nothing?

This is Wiz7 level trolling.

There you go Riddler, enjoy the riveting discussions when you let blind fanboys run amok.

Desiderius is blowing out of his ass anyways as even with greater enduring spells to put most buffs at 24 hours they will still be canceled the moment you move to another location in the world map. Furthermore, they won't cover round/level buffs which are the strongest ones and will be required on Core against tougher opponents come mid chapter 3 and onwards. Those you can't prolong unless you reach CL25 with extended metamagic which require either spellbook merging or perhaps Legend path (untested if CL stack), in other words only your MC can do it and only late game. So yes, Riddler, expect more tedium.

Is there a mod that allows to edit the portraits and appearance of the companions yet?

https://github.com/BarleyFlour/WrathVisualAdjustmentsMod

You also need Unity Mod Manager.

Just as a PSA for that, the version of Visual Adjustments on Nexus is old and buggy but there's a link on Description to his Github, which always has the latest version (which works pretty well). (Some annoyance for the author re. the way Nexus worships Vortex or summat like that.)

I don't really get Owlcat, they looked at Deadfire's boat combat and thought, we want something like that, in every game, only more tedious and annoying.
