  • Various game balance (particularly with Rogues and Barbarians).

Seriously, they should just focus on fixing bugs at this point.

This is starting to become the bane of this game. They are constantly rebalancing the system, and even introducing new elements in the larger patches. This is not a fucking MMO, stop it already and use that manpower on something else. I can't start playing when my party is getting rebalanced every other week.

I imagine this is all true for Pillars

There's also a fundamental question to ask: is balance important at all? If so, then it should be done as well as is reasonably possible. Most of the balance tweaks I made for the last patch were done on my own time after normal work hours or on weekends. I am not responsible for designing or maintaining areas or quests, so the changes I made did not "subtract", if you will, from time devoted to other issues.

Come on, this obsessivness about balance is becoming a mental problem.

Enjoy the Revolution! Another revolution around the sun that is. Serpent in the Staglands Dead State Divinity: Original Sin Project: Eternity Torment: Tides of Numenera Wasteland 2 Shadorwun: Hong Kong Divinity: Original Sin 2 A Beautifully Desolate Campaign Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire Pathfinder: Kingmaker Pathfinder: Wrath I'm very into cock and ball torture I helped put crap in Monomyth
PoE has only had two balance updates that were possibly worth restarting over IMO, the 3.0 update and the one that changed Perception to an Accuracy stat. I doubt this one will be that significant.

What, they are STILL making balance changes? Josh should give it a rest already, or just make everyone attack at the same speed, with the ame accuracy and deal the same amount of damage every time.

Here is how this shit combat could be made to work:

1. Everyone gets 3 seconds of interval (recovery) between attacks, regardless of weapon and armor. Deleterious Alacrity of Motion cuts that to 1.5 sec, and Arduous Delay of Motion doubles it to 6 sec. That's all the modification you can have.

2. Armor becomes restricted, so only certain classes can wear the heaviest armor. Anyone who wants his wizard to wear scale armor and heavier is offered the exclusive opportunity to go fuck himself.

That is how combat will suddenly become much more fun and easy to follow. What I've been repeating since 2014.
:happytrollboy:

BTW, I'm happy they continue patching because the game sorely needs it. The Barbarian specifically "is a disaster" ( :mrpresident: ). He's got shit deflection and is expected to be engaged by multiple enemies, meaning he's almost always supposed to be flanked (-10 Deflection on top of his already shit deflection). It's unplayable as designed. Instead you have to micro him all the time.

They could also tie spellcasting to Intelligence and melee damage and accuracy to Strength. :troll:

Is that an appropriated quote about about art? I've heard a similar saying about when a piece is "done."

So is this worth a new playthrough of the original campaign?

I got bored and annoyed around middle act 3 - twice.

So I started playing PoE again from the start. I gotta say, it's definitely a better experience this time around, not that I vehemently hated the game at release either (like most), but it certaintly had alooot of shortcomings, mostly noticeably the combat.

Enjoying myself so far, and I guess the story is what it is.. somehow it draws me in more, perhaps because combat is less of a clusterfuck than before. The constant exposition is the same (shit) but once you ignore that, the game flows quite well.

I'm not sure if I should get White March or not... is it really worth it? I mean the extra story and quests, compared to the main quest? Hmmm.. I can get it for like 10 euro for PART I and II at cdkeys. Hummm

Exactly like me, i dropped the game the first time (at release) despite not hating it, replayed it 1 month ago and found it much better and much more enjoyable.
Well it did not last as i dropped the game shortly after act 2...

Not a bad game at all but something is definitively wrong with it IMO. I think it may mostly be the setting (boring locations, boring town) and still too much linear to my taste.
