You mean upgraded Interdiction?

Think the Weakened effect targets Fort + the acc bonus from Empowered interdiction applies only to Dazed debuff, so it's far from instawin button.

Anyway, I find it fucked up that almost every mob has the Fort as highest defense, except mages and rogues. Doesn't make much sense for mobs that common sense would tell that they're fragile e.g. Delemgans/their variants or spirits. Not sure what Balance Man had in mind, there should be more variety in defense stats allocation.

Yeah, I meant Painful Interdiction. Wiki says it has a +15 Accuracy bonus. Alongside Inspiring Radiance +10 Accuracy (which I also always spam on combat start), I don't remember enemies saving against it.

I thought it auto-hit. Apparently was mistaken. But don't remember it failing much.

So i decided to try the second dungeon in the endless path, and Kana started going on a screed about muh other cultures. I made a mental note about who i want to sacrifice to Skaen when the time comes.

I've never sacrificed anyone there tbh - it's too much a pain in the ass and waste of time to haul someone there specifically for some miniscule bonus, especially DoC which you recruit much later than you stumble upon this quest.

It's a pretty good buff and it lasts in the sequel too. Imo, Sagani is a better sacrifice throughout PoE1, but DoC has the better effect in 2. It depends on the class of course and mode. In TB, DoC's effect in 2 is half as good because Dex is a dump stat for everyone.

Ok then, good luck against the Adra Dragon without my summons. Bitch.

DoC bonus in Deadfire acts like +1 PEN?
If so then it's a pretty huge buff.

Only against kith targets, but it's still super good regardless. Sagani's is +accuracy like in PoE1, but it only applies to ranged weapons, so it's not as good if you don't use those.

No, LS had this right. If you're going to sacrifice someone, the best is Kana so you don't have to listen to him. In Deadfire, just lie about who you sacrificed.

I don't generally sacrifice anyone unless I'm playing some evil edgelord character.

So i decided to push to level 5 of the endless shit. I got to the part with the big ogres, and saw they were super slow. So i put the ranger's wolf up front, and kited a group waiting for Kana to get three chants going so i could summon the shade thingy and use that as meat shield, hoping the wolf lasted long enough. Imagine my surprise when i saw the whole group walk back, except for the ogre i was attacking.

So basically you can actually pull enemies, split groups, and kite the AI very easily, using summons to provide a temporary shield so you can get some hits from afar. So basically the combat in this game is retarded and super easy to cheese. I tried it on the big fight at the end and sure enough i was able to kite all the ogres including the ogre leader. Lmao wtf.

Doesn't saccing the devil costs you the pretty good breastplate in Dumpsterfire?

So as i figured, i was able to beat the Drake just by running away, at which point his entire escort turned back and i was just able to do the Drake solo.

You know, this is not unusual for this kind of games but Sawyer was so hell bent in making everything BALANCED that it never even occurred to me the AI could be cheesed like that. I automatically assumed if you tried to kite the AI it would just chase you no matter what, but instead you can just pull the usual bullshit tactics of kiting and splitting groups. Sort of disappoint it was this easy.

I'm out of the Endless Path for now, imma head to Defiance Bay next and start Act 2. Keep construction is on the way, first five levels of the dungeons are cleared and i already personally took care of an invasion. I think my control of the region is now assured.

PoE's AI can be cheesed in many ways. Triple Crown solo would probably have been impossible had split pulling not been a thing.

Only if you chose to not kill her target during her personal quest if I recall right. May be it would be better to take out another companion indeed, such as Kana(you can recruit whatever classe you want at the taverns anyway)

The wiki states you only have to spare her target in her personal quest, but I don't know whether that is the case if you choose to sacrifice her after that. Or if she "naturally" dies at one point.

The reason it's harder to kite in Deadfire is there's usually no room, otherwise the AI is just as dumb I'm sure.

You can also manually ask him to tell you about places when you visit them with him in party. In case you can't have enough of loredumps.
