Looks pretty normal for solo play.He would not use that much "tactics"(spawn summons all the time basically) when full party as it's pointless on these easy fights.

That's my point. To actually need tactics, you have to go for the highest difficulty possible, without gimping your character intentionally.

So the golem girl has metal tits displayed to all? WTF?
Was this made by same person that gave Diablo high heals in Diablo 3 or gave tits to Vipers in Xcom 2?

Creepy...

P.S. Also the game is now perfectly balanced: everything is immune to everything.

Not our party's companion. I incarcerate NPCs back at the stronghold.

Wow, I'm surprised you recruited them at all. Unless you want to mine their dialogue trees for any possible XP bonuses, in which case, godspeed. :salute:

Sagani is still standing by some crossroads signpost
BTW if Sagani still had her original 18 Per, she'd probably be the strongest of all story companions now. Low Mgt doesn't really matter if you spec into pet-enhancing talents.

But I have an elven ranger who cuts people to ribbons and causes interrupts like nobody's business. And he's got a lion that is mauling the opposition.

Spent Halloween fighting Battery Sirens, and finally ignited the White Forge. That one was a thrilling encounter. A small price to pay for doing Abydon's work.

Party is 9th level.

An undocumented change that came with the 2.03 patch (that changes everything!1!): Paladins start with 20 deflection instead of 25, to make them worse tanks than fighters:

Also, a fun fact - the fighter's 30 deflection seems to be unaffected by resolve negative modfiers. Some guy posted a screenshot of his lvl 1 fighter with 9 resolve (-1 deflection) and the char screen shows 30 deflection instead of 29. It's also the value used in combat, he included a screenshot from the combat log's calculations. :)

Seems like the inclusion of affliction immunities just removes options and makes combat even more strategical :lol::lol::lol:

It's my impression that your definition of "reactive tactical combat" is mainly about enemies who can inflict debilitating afflictions on YOUR characters that you MUST react to. Since player characters don't have immunities, Pope Amole probably isn't using the same definition of "tactical" as you are.

A tactic (in the context of combat) in my opinion is an action taken as a response to a problem that arises in combat. When I speak about reactive tactics, I refer to responding to an action taken by another unit. In this particular instance I was not referring to reactive tactics.

He makes a good point about the addition of immunities stuffing the balance of class abilities and the like ... fixing that will take some doing.

Nah, as stated above it's just being forced to respond to an action an enemy has taken - like my example with how I would like grenades to work in Copper Dreams. A high damage but delayed blast grenade would *force* you to react to it somehow, usually by simply moving out of the blast radius.

I don't agree with that Sensuki. Just like IE games, the main balance is and should always be party vs enemy. These games are not meant to be soloed although it is cool if that is possible. Immunities create more challenge for the party, it is up to player to decide how he want to build his party to overcome it.

I guess the IE games would have been more tactical and less "strategical" without those immunities as well, then. :M

But actually, since it's harder to take out enemies with "alpha strike" CC now, that might give them more opportunity to use their abilities on you, therefore making the game more tactical by Sensuki's defintion.

Not necessarily. A good thing about immunities is that they will at least force players to break their rote sequences sometimes. Forcing you to use a different strategy.

One would hope so, but most of the afflictions that are not disables can be easily ignored. I did not say that including affliction immunities is a bad thing at all, I just found the examples given in Pope Amole II's video amusing (immunities applied in a semi-simulationist way stuffing things up in a rather gamist game).

I didn't mention soloing anywhere? What?

edit: I think I get what you're saying but I think he's right about some of the stuff he said like lots of enemies being immune to Terrify and Sicken does make those Barbarian abilities less worth picking.

Can they? Maybe you should try the White March/Cragholdt Bluffs on PotD difficulty sometime, since you seem interested in talking about this game again recently.
