Hit that 'double click bug' it seems.:S Only just now found out that it was a thing.:D Was wondering why my character's deflection & shit were suddenly lower:S Been beating myself up for not playing these past couple of days, but I'm sure glad I stopped now.<3 I was only around 15 hours deep into the game.

Since I've been making and remaking characters for Triple Crown Solo, I've noticed that sometimes only one of the Glanfathan enemies spawn in the 2nd encounter of the tutorial (after you leave the river and pass the ruins there's supposed to be a bow-wielding Glanfathan and two others, sometimes only the bow wielder spawns).

Sure that you always had the same difficulty setting?
I was in that encounter ~10 times and it was always the same.
Basically at this point its best just to use adventurers from the inn as party members?
Or use mod made by Bester to rebuild them.
Which mod is that? IE mod?

I've started maybe 10 or so Triple Crowns between yesterday and today and the 2nd encounter was different maybe 3 out of those 10 times and one time today the Glanfathan leader only had one buddy to back up him instead of three.

Here's something that will not be fixed in the next patch, but in the next:

Damage [for all DOTs] is not spread over the duration, it is applied on fixed ticks (usually 3 seconds). So extending DOT duration increases total damage. There is an issue with the damage shown by the UI that will be fixed in patch 1.04.

A summary of the most glaring bugs:

1) Sometimes a ranger's animal companion will disappear, making it impossible to leave the area you're in.

What to do: Quit to desktop without saving, then relaunch pillars of eternity and load a save where you had your animal companion.

If you save while missing an animal companion, the bug persists on that save no matter what you do. If you load a save from in game while missing an animal companion, the animal companion will be scrubbed from the game you just loaded. If all your saves are missing an animal companion, you're stuck until patch time.

2) When you double click a piece of armor to equip it, a bunch of your character's passive abilities stop displaying on his character sheet. His derived stats appear to go down as you'd expect them to.

What to do: Ignore it. It doesn't actually seal off any abilities or lower any stats, it just causes a display bug on the character sheet.

3) The plague of insects spell, when cast by enemies, persists after combat and lasts forever.

What to do: Immediately save and reload. The insects will disappear. Resting or area transitioning won't do anything.

4) The chanter's rime and frost spell permanently enlarges your save file every time it generates a trap. Use it regularly for a while on a 6 person party and your area transition times get unbearably long.

What to do: Don't use rime and frost. If you already have used it extensively there's nothing you can do other than start a fresh game or wait for a patch.

5) When you save and reload on a map where you recruited a companion, any stat boosts that companion has are doubled permanently. For example, saving and reloading in the stronghold will double Kana's stat bonuses permanently if he's in your party, but won't affect anyone else.

What to do: Don't save and reload in areas where you recruited a companion. If you already have, the doubled stats stay forever in that save. A patch might fix it, but it's not guaranteed to be retroactive.

I'm not sure this is true. I don't know if it counts as a passive ability, but my extra weapon slot that I get for being an Island Aumaua seems to have disappeared due to this bug (though I'm not completely certain).

The problem is that plague of insects also adds a permanent debuff to whoever was hit by it, and that doesn't disappear even if you reload.

The Plague of Insects bug doesn't always happen, though. I have been struck (several times now) and it always disappeared as it should.

And another one, though luckily not gamebreaking.
I kill an enemy so fast, I game kinda loses track of what happens to whom. Vagina crits with an arbalest and causes Prone (which doesn't affect the enemy). At the same time the enemy kills himself by striking my main char and being struck back by retaliation effects... But for some reason my main char is then is struck prone by Vagina's crit instead of the (dead) enemy...

And in the log the enemy is hit by retaliation and dead before it shows, that he hit me. (I believe Sensuki posted this one months ago.)

This time a broken side-quest.

I talked to Dunsten (Forgemaster of the Crucible Knights) about the broken blade from Od Nua in Act 2. At that point I only had the blade and not the hilt. He told me to return when I had both. I also hadn't decided on a faction yet, but the Knights liked me. Now it's Act 3, I have both pieces, but the dialogue option doesn't appear anymore. I've since then allied with the Dozen and killed a Kights' patrol, so that might be the reason. But I'd like to be at least told.

Here is a fun one. One shotting a forest lurker with wounding shot. The game doesn't show the dmg, unfortunately. Sagani is using the jolting touch spellstriking warbow and this is her first crit in the encounter. So, even if it's not shown, jolting touch presumably activated. The combination of these (possibly together with the Driving Force talent) led to the FL being hith 13 times. Most of the crits.

Post-patch bugs:

The racial ability for Fire Godlike is still stackable, I guess they only fix the item not the racial ability.

Well, just don't save and load if you are still low in health for Fire Godlike..unless you want to cheat

Steps to reproduce:

1. Get Fire Godlike to low health at which point the endurance is always under 50% out of battle

--> The Battle-Forged DR is still activated out of battle

2. Save the game and quit to menu.

3. Load the save

4. Rest.

--> Battle-Forged DR +4 is not deactivated.

5. Repeat above steps

--> DR can be stacked again and again.


Just started up again after the patch and I can't interact with locked things. No message, nothing. Hover over and the tooltip is all white text, got enough mechanics. Put when I click on it the mechanic character walks over and nothing happens. It does not unlock, no popup message, no sound effect. Nothing.

Indeed, same for me. I seriously do not want to restart my Potd party because of this. Lockpicking works fine in a freshly started game but not in my current one.

I am having the same problem. Hopefully it gets fixed soon. I was really enjoying my MC + 5 recruits playthrough, but without the ability to pick locks I won't be playing this party until it is fixed.

On my PotD play I can only open locks with main character, to me it seems it's an issue for custom characters. (I cannot continue my PotD play due to this, as it's too late to respec the main char to have the high lockpicks needed)

I'm also playing with main character + 5 custom. And my mechanic is one of the custom.

Everyone that does not have the required mechanics can attempt to interact with it where as my Mechanic, who has sufficient levels, cannot. It's very bizarre and awfully frustrating.

It's not broken, you still have two more pieces to find.

I seem to be losing my discount at the inn which i got for saving their dwarven chef. Also the recipe he gives me vanishes after entering the defunct temple.

Reloading now, since im not far in with my min maxed rogue on hard (i hope this is my final character with which i will finish the bloody game dammit).

So I was wonder why sneaking around was quite hard for my char with 10 stealth...

...well, I am getting negative bonus. Possibly from dungeon delver skill. Like -8 negative.
