Holler whenever you need,
So, can any party member initiate dialogue and converse with NPCs?
Baldur's Gate 2 was lame, when you could dump charisma and use other party members. DA:O was lame, when you had some good-for-nothing companion with herbalismand focsed main on combat.Lame.
Kickstarter update - STRONGHOLDS said:There are a ton of really fun things you can do with your stronghold like sending companions on missions, buying rare loot off of merchants, building upgrades, and even purchasing hirelings to defend your keep from attack. Watching Tim's stronghold get robbed blind because he has low security and high prestige never gets old.

No, just the main character

I wonder if they are going with the NWN2 OC mechanism, when you select a companion to click on an NPC or cross over a speak trigger, the Main Character will be instantly teleported across the field to engage in the conversation.
Storm of Zehir was much better. This is the wrong Obsidian.
The game is main character + friends, not equal group of characters.
The player is not the main character. And yet you have direct control over these "friends". But party based games always have this weird schizophrenia, whether it's through the dialogue thing mentioned here or game over on the main character dying, or whatever.

Are you also one of the people who think that in blobbers characters are actually one body with four heads orThat's the schizophrenia. I have trouble thinking of games outside of party based crpg's

It's not the IE (BG2/PS:T) way
Yeah, huh, i think i want a quote on that Infinitron/Roguey.Wait, they're not going to use the Storm of Zehir system? Are they insane? They get praise for finally working out a system that solves an age-old party RPG issue with a system that is solid as shit, and they won't reuse it?
