Well I'm not necessarily for that, or in any event wouldn't prefer it to a DRM free model. The GOG model is perfect for how I want to own and play video games.

I'm not sure that's true. Customers have forgiven worse things.

And considering the weak sales they are now going to make another OS with a UI that is not something out of a smartphone.
