I'm sick and bored, so why not make a retarded poll?
What do you think is the quintessential RPG moster and why? Discuss!

My favourite are the rattkin breeders from Wiz8 - really taking "giant" to next level.Giant rat. I still remember my amazement when I tried to kill Disciples of Steel's giant rats and was killed instead. I'm fool, should have started with bats!
Well, I thought skeletons are more typical. But then I realized I was only thinking of fantasy RPGs. Whatever, added.Surprised Zombies didn't make the list.
So are you implying I should add mooses (or is it meese?) to the poll?Moose Rats from Might & Magic III, for a unique take on the giant rat concept.

I'm pretty sure winged bowling balls aren't that widespread.
Well, they do once you reach the right chapter and get the right armor.Gothic skeletons behave like those in other games and quickly fall under my sword.
Added because why not.So are you implying I should add mooses (or is it meese?) to the poll?Moose Rats from Might & Magic III, for a unique take on the giant rat concept.
I would include a category vegetation.
Like jungle lilies from Wizards & Warriors, alaphoots from Crusaders of the Dark Savant, and ?Flower? from Grimoire.
Remember the Might and Magic 6 Temple of Baa skelly trap? I doo

Slimes win for me because they're the creatures that pretty much only appear in RPGs. Slimes in other media are quite rare. Giant rats are pretty close in that regard though. The slime party is loosing...
I still remember, also remember castle Darkmoor. Those annoying skeletons with the funny hats.Temple of Baa is easy now,i can even go trough it without resting more than 3-4 time.Remember the Might and Magic 6 Temple of Baa skelly trap? I doo
