This is one of the reasons why I reloaded an earlier save file after having problems with Mr X specifically to purge the library of zombies and clear some corridors I knew I would have to use later.

My main gripe with the game on hardcore so far (almost finished Leon A) is the ammo rubber-banding and weapon damage randomness (also rubber-banded from what I noticed). What is the point of saving ammo if the game suddenly decides you need to unload everything into the first boss fight because you hoarded too much ammo just as I had it happen to me? They should at least fix the damage for boss encounters. RE3 hard and REmake could do ammo scarcity properly without resorting to cheap tricks like rubber-banding.

Codex 2016 - The Age of Grimoire Grab the Codex by the pussy RPG Wokedex Strap Yourselves In Codex Year of the Donut Shadorwun: Hong Kong Divinity: Original Sin 2 Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag. Pathfinder: Wrath I helped put crap in Monomyth
I tried to save ammo in my hardcore Leon A run by blowing zombie legs off instead of killing them.

Led to the slight problem of being attacked by a sea of amputees every time I revisited a corridor.

Fun fact, the zombies can drown in the sewers if you destroy their legs, if shooting through opaque water isn't your taste, cripple them on land, the legless zombies will still follow you into the water like lemmings.

Just finished the second scenario with Claire on hardcore difficulty. During half of the playthrough I went with the Uzi with a lot of ammo. Defeated the first boss using the revolver given in the B scenario. I only had problems with the ammo in the lab, because I wasted so much grenade launcher ammo with lesser enemies. Never had the sensation of being "handicaped" for having too much ammo or viceversa. I even wasted a lot of bullets in confirming that zombies are dead for sure. Also I picked a lot of herbs, having zero problems of health. I really like how this game rewards your patience and knowledge (I did a lot of backtracking, evading the tyrant, just for bringing items on the chest)

Leon B is so much harder than Claire A.
No grenade launcher, lickers are spawning in much more inconvenient places, and Mr X is just a pain in the arse.

Red9 is better, there is no competition.
Better damage per shot, sexy reloading, and 22 rounds capacity is more than enough.

Not to mention that Red9 is an antique Mauser, while Blacktail is some shitty plastic glock.

Ohohoho my little Wunderbar, the true answer is TMP.

Is it true that if you wait for your reticle to shrink you do more damage?

The RE2 Kickstarter project actually looking promising had to die for this shit.

Lol at noobs shooting zombies on the ground, instead of using knife.

The game has nothing on the original, but then again it's clearly made to cater the nu audience.

Well that's not entirely true. Streets of Rage had a fan remake that was fucking awesome.

The RE2 fan-remake turned into a new game called Daymare, and it's development is going decent. They even hired the original voice actor of Leon for their game some weeks ago:

Is it true that if you wait for your reticle to shrink you do more damage?

It increases the chance of getting critical hits, AKA blowing zombie heads. But not sure if it increases the general damage output.

Man, playing this game has really made me go into a Resident Evil fascination mood. Tell me, are any of the REs after RE4 any good if you're into survival horror? I dropped the series after RE4 because it was way too heavy on the action and RE5 didn't look like an RE game at all.

I also never played RE0.

You might enjoy RE7. I liked it for the most part, just cannot replay because some retards at Capcom decided it a great idea to put unskippable cutscenes before boss fights and checkpoints before the cutscenes. Other than that it was an enjoyable mix of old and new RE styles.

What new RE styles are we talking? I prefer RE to be as old as possible since that is when the series was at its greatest.

It's why I can't take anyone seriously that praises RE4 as the best one. It's a fun game but it's not a real Resident Evil game to me.

I can't take anyone seriously who recommends the trash that is Zero over 4, because muh camera angles.
