Is this related to Kingdom Come: Deliverance in any way other than the title of the thread?
I actually really disliked the combat system in KCD, but if this is saber and pistol, it has to be different and, hopefully, better.

Why - are French overseas territories especially badly connected to Internet?

How can a 100 MB download be a problem in Europe in 2023? I thought that France was a developed country.
The main problem with the package is that it's a 100 MB nothingburger. A few concept arts, ugly wallpapers and a short film presenting janky animations. There's nothing about the game itself there.

Witcher 4

Geralt: I prefer to stay neutral... but when i see filthy uneducated white male kmets mess with my beloved LGBTQ+ community, elf minorities and pocs... my blood boils with rage.
Geralt: Steel for racist white incels! Silver for gender surgery!
Geralt: *drinks estrogen potion*

Yennefer (race swapped): You're late for your dick flattening, worm. And give me all your orens.
Geralt: Yes, Yennefer, my queen! I will simp for you forever. Take all my money!

Sapkowztztyky: *cums*
Witcher 3 was already somewhat progressive with a male tranny.

Must be really sad that Witcher didn't include any trannies and gay sex, unlike the proud russian Pathfinder rpgs.

*Who "created" it is irrelevant.
It kind of is, because how Ukraine and Belarus were created is a result of political bickering between the Soviet Union and the USA about recognizing certain nations as member states in the United Nations, which meant having more votes (originally Stalin wanted 15 Soviet Socialist Republics as member states in the UN and USA responded it wants to get the same treatment for its 48 states). Nobody really cared whether these nations are "real" or not when they put them on the map.

White Russia, Little Russia and Big Russia are ethnographic terms used for centuries before this. Marx wasn't born yet when everyone could've told you where Little Russia (Ukraine) is, and where White Russia (Belarus) is, and how they are different from Big Russia (modern Russia).

Sure. That's not my point though.

You missed the part where we were talking about nations not countries. You can say what you want about Ukrainians but sure as hell they didn't just appear from nowhere after WW2. Certainly not the ones from Austro-Hungary's eastern Galitsia.
Also you talk nonsense because Soviet Union existed from 1922 and Ukraine or Belarus already existed as soviet republics in 1920s.

well, at least russians actually have history of making rpg games.
Name 10 russian Role Playing Games.
Russians make plenty of great games. It's just that this specific game is very unusual among Russian games because it has government funding, which was specifically created to support games that "strengthen spiritual values among the youth". The funding was announced 1 month after the war started.
The authorities have allocated ₽260 million for a video game about the Time of Troubles
The authorities have allocated 260 million rubles for a video game about the fight against the Polish invaders in 1612, the grant was sent by the ANO IRI, which is engaged in "the strengthening of spiritual and moral values among young people."

CEO of Cyberia Limited Alexei Koptsev said that the plot of the game Prince Yuri Miloslavsky will participate in the formation of the second militia, along with Kuzma Minin and Dmitry Pozharsky and fight the Polish troops. The developers were inspired by the video game Ghost of Tsushima, he added, which tells the story of a Japanese samurai guerrilla war against Mongol invaders. "We have a similar motif - the struggle of a small number of patriots who were able to defeat the Polish army," Koptsev explained.

"The Internet Development Institute was created in 2014 with the support of the presidential administration (AP). Goreslavsky served as deputy head of the AP Office of Public Projects from 2017-2020, where he supervised Internet initiatives and interaction with citizens in the digital environment.

ANO IRI serves as the operator of a competition to support content production that aims to "strengthen civic identity and spiritual and moral values among young people," according to the organization's website. In November 2019, RBC sources told RBC that the authorities intend to allocate 2.4 billion rubles to Rosmolodezh and ANO IRI for these purposes over the next three years. According to a source close to the AP RBC, the decision was made "to start somewhere", since young people consume information mainly on the Internet, where the state is little represented.

It is also promoted on sources which turned vatnik such as Navigator, which now hosts Dmitry Puchkov, a notable vatnik character who lost his large Youtube channel due to the oppression of free speech. The organisation granting the funding has the goal of creating pro-government projects, according to pro-government media:
RBC sources reported in early November that Goreslavsky would head IRI. According to a source close to the Kremlin, Goreslavsky will be in charge of "creating new pro-government, high-quality content."

The state organisation is overseen by Kremlin figures such as Volodin and Kirienko (Izraitel), the corrupt Jewish ex-PM whose son recently received ownership of VK, "the Russian Facebook".

The content of the game is directly related to the war in Ukraine and tries to fan the flames of Slavic internecine squabbling. The Russian government have always tried to use this conflict. For example, they changed the day of the October Revolution to the day of liberation from Poland in November 4, except it was co-opted by nationalists as the anti-immigration day with no connection to Poland. We don't have any games about the Tatar oppression of Russians, for example, which is a much more unambiguous, brutal, and long period. Nor any wars about the conquest of the Caucasus. And certainly nothing whatsoever at all about Siberia.

So it's this Russian game specifically that is the problem, not Russian games in general.

Shitty political visual novel appears, Infinitron: "it has dicerolls, therefore it's an RPG. I'm going to put it into RPG discussion";
Shitty playstation-exclusive third person action with LGBT characters appears, Infinitron: "devs say it's an RPG, so I'm going to put it into RPG discussion";
Shitty ubisoft another assassin's creed rehash appears, Infinitron: "the game has stats and loot, so I'm going to put it into RPG discussion".
...
Something that looks like an actual RPG gets announced, Infinitron immediately hides it in the political subforum.

Since you guys wanted to know russian RPGs, next time use the fucking list of RPGs thread that's what it's there for. I've put 59 Russian RPGs there already. (With more on the last page that Abu Antar hasn't added in yet).

Decided not to add Vangers in the list though, couldn't convince myself it belongs as an "RPG" but God damn that game is good.

Pray tell me, what looks like an actual rpg here? Devs talk the talk but neither the 'press kit' nor the leaked video suggests any rpg. If anything a very, very janky action adventure prototype.

Ah, OK then.

I got it messed up by writing from memory and didn't check before posting. I thought they got acknowledged as "separate" Soviet Republics during the Cold War. Mea culpa.

I actually love deluge-time of troubles era aesthethics, Tatars, Cossacks, Muscovites are all great but what we will get is Oblivion with Moskals, since it'll have a fanbase with political motivations it'll never improve and be playable, this thread I think already proved that.. With AI generated voice acting and joinable factions, C&C instead of railroaded shit it'd be masterpiece. But instead it will be a clunky crap with dogshit combat and soulless world design.

Fear not, Reinhardt and other lovers of everything Russian: this Smuta looks like a cash grab that may never see the light of day (and only exists to suck the governmental funds), but I've found a Smuta game that is actually complete and playable from start to end (10 levels)!

I give you Smuta: Living Dead (1997)!

Contrary to the currentday shit, it has in-game screenshots and actual gameplay!
