At this point they have people so deeply invested they can pretty much do what they will. The rubes will keep pumping money into the vapour because they're scared to consider it might not be real.

This gotta be the biggest scam in gaming history...
I am eagerly waiting the day this will be released.
The butthurt will be glorious, the entire planet could collapse on itself from all those weeping, whining, screaming beta nerds who bought on this.
Many nerds will die, a few will be made Men.
It will be a sight to behold, a show that will keep on giving for days to come.

There's also a graph showing $540k raised when they announced subscriptions... [Redacted] indeed.

First fault you made is assuming this will ever get released

So much time in dev, so much money earned and still no sign of a public beta of an actual game, not just the few closed maps with shitty dogfight. That people are still giving money to this load of crock just shows how retarded a lot of the gaming communities are.

"Owner refuses to listen to employees about possible ideas / solutions to problems.
Tons of backer money is being poorly spent on inefficient / outdated development methods, expensive sports cars, fancy dinners etc. That money should be going to the game and hiring more staff to get the tasks finished.
Employee moral is really low.
There's no real game plan, just making it up as it goes along."

great, just great. :negative:

I don't want to be the devil's advocate, but this is clearly fake.

Really now? The same thing is repeated in multiple reviews:

Funding is being spent on excess rather than necessities, along with gimmicks to keep the gravy coming in rather than delivering the actual content promised initially. Initial promises were already unattainable, but what's been promised to be added has caused production to turn over on itself again and again. [...] Stop spending the production funds on fancy toys, using developer grade equipment for checking emails/facebook, or opening however many offices on every continent possible.

* Crowdfunding from backers is being spent inefficiently due to owner's refusal to re-order development more efficiently, spending thousands of dollars on expensive dinners, paying personal expenses, etc.

I guess that's just multiple troll accounts trying to ruin Chris' good reputation.

Really now. Look at the pros.

Number one crowd funded game in history.
Free gifts from backers.
Fans are very supportive.

This is not something you'd give a fuck about as an employee. Every other review mentions how rabid the fans are, this one praises them. And nobody else mentions expensive cars and fancy dinners, odd, don't you think?

I just posted you two additional reviews that say the same thing. So three guys saying the same thing is "nobody else". 'k.

Naturally doesn't mean it is true, it can just be the impression the employees have. Understandable, you have shit benefits, temp contracts, bad salary, bosses who verbally abuse you and have no clue about management... chances are you will be drawing unfair conclusions whenever the CEO buys a new sports car.

Buying a sports car should happen after development, not during. Sends bad signals about where backer money goes.

Fancy toys might just as well mean a latte machine, over the top PC hardware and shit like that, not necessarily sports cars. But whatever, the drama must keep flowing.

This game is fucked regardless, i haven't spet one cent on it and i never will, despite my love for space sims.

And a "fancy dinner" can be just a few hundred dollars, which is rather trivial when we look at budgets of tens of millions. But like said, if you're paying substandard salaries, it gives a bad impression none the less.
