Don't make me go hiver on your ass bro.
I share many of the critisismssmsms but there IS a playable alpha/beta/whatever, you can fly around, shoot peeps and aliens and stuffies.
Most good games have taken more than two years of development time. Most take four to five years.Hard to justify a fourfold increase in budget when no game is in sight after more than 2 years and half of development. This will be either the greatest scam in the history of gaming or its greatest failure. Either way the codex wins
Or maybe ythey will actually release a good game, who knows?

To be REALLY shit takes 14 years, like Duke Nukem Forever.Just as most shit games.
To be REALLY shit takes xx years, like Grimoire.
Nah, Grimoire is different. As long as it's not released it can still exist as the potential cRPG saviour of mankind. To release it would cause it to become real, thus negating its potential. Grimoire can only exist as an idea, a fleeting hope. And you don't want to make that idea disappear, do you? Star Citizen is too recent to have transcended into the realm of myth yet.To be REALLY shit takes xx years, like Grimoire.
Fixed.
I abandoned hopw for Star Citizen when I learned that rich people would have an advantage over me.
You are pretty dumb if you compare the 10.000 dollars ships of Star Citizen to other MMO's hour long double XP boost pack.I abandoned hopw for Star Citizen when I learned that rich people would have an advantage over me.
You mean like every single other MMORPGFPSWTFBBQ game out there? Wow, such unexpected, much surprise.
ORLY?You are pretty dumb if you compare the 10.000 dollars ships of Star Citizen to other MMO's hour long double XP boost pack.

The most expensive virtual shit sold for real money is still in Eve Online.
I don't know if he plays eve but many game newssites have articles like "10k $ ship destroyed in eve" where it means that you could technically exchange 10k$ into in-game money that is equal to the in-game value of the ship. Also I think there's a big difference between paying 10k$ for developer spawned ship that you cannot lose and exchanging 10k$ into in-game money for player built ship that can be destroyed (and the in-game money comes out of player pockets).Which is what exactly?ORLY?You are pretty dumb if you compare the 10.000 dollars ships of Star Citizen to other MMO's hour long double XP boost pack.

It sounds prettySo I just want to see If I'm correct here about Star Citizen. Please correct me or fill me out if I'm missing something.
This game got money from kickstarter + investors.
Then the continue to take donations on their website?
They sell their game around 40 euro? Or will sell, not sure if you can buy it yet.
They also sell ships, costs from 20euro to 1000euro or more.
They have a subscription service for around 12-13 euros per month for exclusive stuff.
They also will have an in-game store from what I understand. I'm not sure about this.
It sounds prettysnipmindblowingretarded, doesn't it? :D

A developer has posted in the forums a screenshot with a partial URL and some guys managed to guess it and downloaded 40GB (yeah, that's right!) of assets.
In this leak they found a render for some carrier, which can be seen in this video:
