I think he's mainly doing it for the attention, attention is how he survived for so long in the industry.
On the other hand he does have a point: When this fails, it is going to have extremely negative consequences on the entire crowd-funded gaming thing.

There have been tons of shitty kikestarter campaigns and seemingly the only negative connotations are reserved for the small-time campaigns nowadays.
Meanwhile, the heavily advertised and fanboy-filled ones will totes ignore all the bad shit that happened with kickstarter and gets loads of emone. See Shenmue 3 or the second Hero-U campaign.

Honestly, its kinda ... well nice but there is some odd stuff, like those fences that really look silly as people would jump, those days you see high fences to prevent jumpers so it makes no sense and another thing, I cannot really understand why you have those very clean rooms (one was the ship seller, no idea what the other was) and then you have well the ship parts seller right next door and you have that "backalley" look to the whole place, if they had a part that had those neat rooms that was well maintained and then you had more "industrial" separated it would look better, I guess they are just using "basic" rooms so the ship sellers rooms look all clean and nice and then you have the ship parts store that looks like a junkyard/workshop but they all look like that.
Of course the biggest issue is all those fukctards acting like fucktartds.
