amount of money and R&D already poured into the project makes it a gold mine.
You mean the current pre-pre-prealpha and the dozens of useless tech demos/cg stuff for the youtube marketing?

The money is gone, the "R&D" were it was spend is for a existing engine
yeah you cretin, keep repeating this to yourself and move on.
You are assuming they did not modify the engine. Wouldn't surprise me at all.Star Citizen uses a existing engine, first it was CryEngine and now Lumberyard (that is based in CryEngine) so they dont own the basic tech of the game, there is nothing to gain as the engine of the game does not belong to them, was not written by them and thus cannot be sold, any knowledge of using said engine simply would not justify the cost as people with similar knowhow can be hired by a faction of the cost.

the only assents they actually own are just the textures and models.
the question is, who gives a shit? Star Citizen crossed the threshold where big publishers will flock to buy it if Roberts fails to deliver with the current funds because the amount of money and R&D already poured into the project makes it a gold mine.
That will totally win you points in this discussion.
Alarmingly, Erin Roberts (brother of CEO, Chris Roberts), the director of the studio, took a pay increase from £152.7K ($193.5) to £230K ($291.3) in 2016. As if it wasn’t bad enough that it was previously over 2x the average for someone in his position in the Manchester region; at that 22% increase, it is way higher than the inflation increase for the region. Aside from the fact that the average salary in the region declined by almost 2x the inflation rate between 2015-2016 period. Not to mention the overall financial conditions in the UK, especially in the videogame sector. Oh well, backers will never know.
Is that guy still that butthurt?

here's something for the on-duty malcontents to bitch about

Holy shit. His brother is a fat fuck. He most likely spend all the backers money on fucking KFC.
Just have faith my brothers

I think some people are in for some full life consequences, and it ain't going to be fun for them.
That's Sandi Gardiner, wife of SC's head mogul Roberts. I'll admit, it's a rather tame fetish, but it's indeed amusing.
