even cheap ones are worth more than their lives
nothings speaks more about human lives there than this, it's pure poetry

that stash (with best armor in the game) was easy to miss, only dead stalkers on one map carry its coordinates and you either savescum random corpses or kill stalkers there and pray for good RNG

Finished Harp & Crysanthemum. A lovely example of what nice usermade modules can be. Short, focused little adventure with a nice feel to it. Epic in its own little way, without going full-blown stupid epic with Meteor Storms flying all over the place. A pity that NWN2 modding never took off.

I am renting a Rust server where I have built a hotel resort. This is a screenshot of the desk in the penthouse of the hotel that hangs in the penthouse. If anyone wants to try out the hotel (777 scrap for a key) or just play on the server then be my guest.

The resort also has a beach club,

and a live music stage.

Dead State Divinity: Original Sin
Finished Fallout 1 Replay over weekend
Summary of run:
Pick up Ian at Shady, got to V15, went down, discover control room destroyed.
Head to junk town, encounter junk town patrol...traded away their ammo for flare and butchered them with SMG

unknown.png

They toss flare in retaliation. Lmao.
I did not realize Junktown would turn hostile. But I didn't reload, took the 2 hunting rifle and went to the Hub.
The Hub is nice place to shop but I'm too light on caps. I took a caravan to Necropolis, pays 600 caps.
Arrived at Necro a bunch of ghouls attacked me for nothing, killed them and made my way to the sewers where one of them said they had water chip. Good.
There's no need to understand evil. Just kill Supermuties and Ian died to Flamer... but I have the chip.

unknown.png

And two big guns.

unknown.png

The Overseer said I need to find the source of mutants and murder them all. OK good. Less understanding of threats and more neutralizing. I shopped heavily at the Boneyard and following a tip from Followers of Apoc, I secured their help in assaulting the Cathedral.

unknown.png

We fought our way to the top, blazing past half a dozen Nightkins and tore Morpheus apart.
Took too many casualties and ran low on stims. Decided to withdraw with Katja back to the Boneyard to restock with Combat armor and more ammo.
The Followers said one run was enough and bailed on me before I headed down to the Cathedral's hidden bunker...
It's fine. I have enough help.

unknown.png

All 240 of them.

unknown.png

I went in fully loaded... 199 weight out of 200...
And slowly unloaded all the ammo I could find.

unknown.png

Went as low as I could get...and found the key to the puzzle.

unknown.png

There's no need to understand evil. Just blow it up.

unknown.png

War never changes.

unknown.png

Hacking one of the console revealed another hidden base on the northwest.
Time to restock for the final mission.

unknown.png

Arrived at the Mutant base..Told Katja to wait outside as I ran in with minigun in one hand and rocket launcher in another.
In the deepest level I found the ticket I needed and punched it.

unknown.png

Four minutes till evil is purged.

unknown.png

Base on full alert, but it was too late. I waved at Katja and we set off to the sunset as the Vats exploded.

unknown.png

unknown.png

Shady Sands survived but had to contend with the Raiders whom I left alone.
Junktown...prospered. Aside from the 2 dead patrolmen, Gizmo casino attracted suckers into the town before the fatman died from choking on iguana-on-stick
Followers were wiped out by mutants, somehow.
Necropolis died thirsty.
Hub was untouched.
Brotherhood....helped the newly formed NCR... I never made contact with them.

I take it this is another one of those Oblivion Lost recreation or remake mods? How does it compare to other attempts?

Actually it's not related to OL (no content from old builds), it's one of those modpacks that contains better arsenal, graphics and fixes. Enemies are no longer resistant to bullets, spread while firing burst is not as bad as vanilla game. There are various modpacks like that for Shadow of Chernobyl and it's one of the better ones. Certainly better than Complete garbage. While colors are toned down but it's not Misery/Anomaly-tier where you have various shades of brown&grey.

Sounds good. I share the sentiment about the color palette. I liked Autumn Aurora 2 when it came out, what I don't like is how many mods straight up recycle its textures or go even further with that aesthetic, p much AA with progressively less color. It's like many in Stalker community think that atmosphere equals making everything grey...

A couple of my screenshots from Vector of Alienation

So it's basically vanilla but prettier and without bullet sponges right? Would you recommend it for a first playthrough?

I would say yes. Certainly better than Complete for example, which often gets recommended for new folks.

I'd say yes. It's a pretty well-curated, up-to-date compilation, mainly of visual enhancements plus ZRP. Looks rather nice - I could swear I posted some screenies of it here at some point - and doesn't modify the storyline, plus everything specifically gameplay-affecting is optional.

From the documentation to Conflux, a Dungeon Master mod, one can learn more about the noble Zed Duke of Banville.

onTL9Ru.jpg

Of course we all know that he's a dilettante, is a traveler on the seven seas, and is immensely knowledgable in everything D&D.
But that part about the Trumpet of Terror was news to me. Is it a literal Trumpet? Or is is a euphemism?
