Dark Souls 3 + Convergence mod in a GTS 450. I'm not joking. I did managed to run it in a old potato pc while I'm waiting for my new upgrade to come. About US$2000 in PC parts to upgrade my PC was invested. And before anytithing, yes, I will maintain the 4:3 monitor. I only upgrade things when I need and I don't need a new monitor.

Convergence mod is amazing. I loved this mod.
How does it run? What's your CPU and resolution? I've had sudden framedrops for 1-2 seconds that make the whole thing feel janky as hell so I've put this on the shelf for until I upgrade. And this was on a pretty modern system.

In some areas, is a slideshow, in others, runs """ok""". The resolution, I've used nvidia inspector and other stuff to reduce but don't remember.

Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
Is this a guess the FM game now?

First one is The Cinder Notes, I recognize is cause I played it recently.

Second could be any Hammerite-themed FM but broadhead arrows being displayed while you have your blackjack selected is weird.

Third... it feels familiar but I don't remember which FM this one is from.

I wish I remembered, took the screenshots ~12 months ago, I think.

DS3 felt like a DS1 conversion mod in the Bloodborne engine, so yeah. DS2 has much more unique locations. Also, in Heide, iirc if you don't pull the levers you can make the humanoid boss trip and fall (something that's probably the greatest tragedy of modern souls design, since it's not there anymore in recent games)

#1 is The Cinder Notes. #3 is Fierce Competition by Jayrude. (I highly recommend both.)

#2 is a head-scratcher though. I'd be curious to know what it is.

#2 is something from in here. 90% of this list is curated and play-tested, then deemed good enough to set aside in the trove, so even picking up something you don't already have is probably worth your time.

Thanks for sharing. There's more than a few here that I haven't tried yet.

BROs, my RE odyssey continues. :obviously:

I've completed Resident Evil 2 (Gamecube).

Let's start with the most controversial shit - the AI enhanced textures from the Seamless HD Project.

After playing the whole game with it, I can state, that:
  • this thing certainly isn't perfect,
  • some "detailed" things like signs, texts and faces often look prosperous,
  • but considering the fact that the original backgrounds were super low-res (320x240?), it's good for what it is,
  • it works fine ingame - when you're playing, and are focused on 3D models and "where to go", weird-looking "HD" 2D elements are less distracting than low-res pixelated shit. YEMV, OFC.
Check the initial section for examples (some things look decent, some horrendous).

Verdict: :5/5:

One of the best sequels in gaming history. Takes the elements from the original (zombies, action + puzzles, location is a puzzle in itself, etc.) and tweaks them (80-ies action movie instead of 70-ies horror, crazy scientists, interconnected playthroughs, additional game modes).

Problems:
  • after going Claire A -> Leon B, there's little point of going Leon A -> Claire B.
  • RE1 > RE2, and RE1 Remake >>>>>>>>>> RE2 Remake.
What's next on the menu? Well, after finishing both "Gold" scenarios of RE5:
