They had already wanted you to create an account by locking access to images with +18 content (of any nature) behind an age verification tied to the info you'd submit. I think they are probably trying to empty up space in their database and also are trying to have a way to deal with people who don't upload "acceptable" content.

I wonder how hard it would be to download every imgur image linked from every codex thread and copy it into Amazon S3 and then serve it from behind some cloudflare account, then use some admin perm to replace the urls in the posts with the cloudflare links.

Personal preference bro. Doom's software renderer also didn't look that crispy in CRTs of the day either, because of pixel blurring that CRT screens had.

Untrue: you can find old saved screenshots of Doom taken back during the vintage era, and they don't look blurry at all. I still USE an old CRT screen and it's not blurry at ALL, unlike anytime you move your mouse on an LCD. I can take a screenshot RIGHT NOW on a classic vintage CRT, which I AM STILL USING, and you can easily SEE there is NO BLURRINESS. Damn kids, GET OFF MY LAWN!
