Outcast?
Any good? A game that looks like a Roger Dean painting better be.

No, that's not Outcast, that's Zeno Clash.

Deus Ex + Shifter

a) Modders gonna mod

But getting EXP after kills / non-lethal takedowns is sweet.

b) I don't remember so many regular Unatco guys during Paul's (failed) assassination. Not sure if it's Shifter or simply Hard difficulty.

A couple of MIBs went down at the beginning of the fight (mines).

Fucking hell, I forgot how awesome this game is. And increased enemy awareness / accuracy (Shifter) makes shootouts much more difficult. Still, Baton + some Prod = win.

There are quite a few unatco guys during 'Ton shootout. I usually don't see many bodies due to grenades though.

XP for each kill kind of unbalances the game in terms of skills though, you wind up mastering about half of them, compared to one or two in the original. Being able to use aug canisters to upgrade augs kinda does the same for augs, you can easily max almost all of them.

It also penalizes some playstyles as compared to the other.
In a game that's mechanically *about* choosing your approach.

At least you get penalties for blackjacking friendly units and bonuses for playstyle (headshots are worth more than regular kills). And these XP bonuses are so low (15 XP per kill / KO is max AFAIK) that it hardly inbalances the game.

It also penalizes some playstyles as compared to the other.
PLZ, elaborate, since:

Code:
Stealth: Due to complaints about the skill points for kills/KO system
slanted gameplay towards killing everyone (a valid point) there is also
a system for granting skill points based on how stealthy you are. The
determination is based on how close you get to an NPC without being
detected. "Minor" detections, where the NPC saw you but "wasn't sure,"
reduce the potential bonus by a fraction. Being fully detected removes
the stealth bonus for that NPC. Yes, killing them counts as being
detected for the purposes of the system.

I don't claim this mod is the second cumming, but I find most changes made by it interesting / inclining. Especially for n-th playthrough.

I Blame EA for fucking up red alert 2 and Tiberium sun. Plus Butchering CnC story with Alien magic bullshit...

I tried CnC 95. Hardest CnC game ever.

Its funny how rts fags called CnC a spam tank fest but when starcraft 1 or 2 does the same shit its called "skillz".

So does Requiem with Skyrim and it's apparently the best thing since sliced bread...
